Memories of Halomods
I got to see very little of the "old old days". I saw some old days, but nothing past late 2004. I remember I would look at the forums every so often talking to my brother about how I was going to buy halo pc, yet somehow never did. So one day I just went ahead and did, then remembered this place. That's when my newbie days started. And as far as modding goes, I pretty much still am.
But as time went by, I sort of got a hang of that whole "forum" thing. Though, halomods is so far the only forum I've ever managed to stay active in for over 2 months.

80% of my memories are in the Users Forum because I never really came to the files forum (mostly cause I got banned for a while), but I remember the cool peeps that hung around HM back then, who made uber cool mods and maps. Plus I liked being a noob, because there was so much to learn, there still is, but not as much now because everything has basically been discovered. And god knows when Prometheus is comming out so theres nothing really new and exciting to mess around with anymore :\

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I came to Halomods when Halo Xbox mods still existed. I was the first one to post in that forum in months when it was replaced by Halo 2 mods. That was a great memory...
Going back further in time, I remember posting my very first mod. It was for Halo PC, and everyone at l4y and here went crazy over it. Of course I was still occasionally flamed for it not being "original" (Hint: it was a Snowygulch). But yeah. Good memories...
Then there was the time when I hacked into my Xbox for the first time. Thats when I decided to make Snowygulch for Xbox. And that is still in the first page in Misc. Xbox Mods (ntsc).
Then I remember first making a Halo 2 mod, brfore Yelo or the screencap trainer was around. It was horrible, and it didn't work. And nobody liked it.
Then when I got into HEK, and felt terrible for creating crap in Halo CE.
When I first decided to make a mappack, and failed...
When I decided to revise the mappack.
And failed...
Then when I got something, I'm not allowed to mention, resulting in my third attempt at a mappack.
And succeeded!
You know what mappack I am talking about...
Begins with Halo...
Ends with CCE...
Yeah...
Good times...
Gooood times....

I've been lurking around these forums for about a year now.
My favourite memories, ScottyGEE's (I think) Weapons depot, amazing.
Zenons mods, they were amazing, nothing discovered, just extremely creative. And waiting for his mod, "Exodus" (Had it on my Main menu since it came out ^.^)
When MOTM Was here, and flame-free.
When Old timers were active
When I first got Halo PC ^_^
