[Halo2] [Research Facility] v1.0 - Smacktalker
Wow. I really like this mod. I only ever play 4 player slayer games with some co-workers, but I imagine that in larger ctf games, all those shields could make for some exciting gameplay. Also, as others have said, the ambiance is very nice.
I do find the weapon selection to be somewhat meager, though. It seems that if you are in the mood to use a jackal shield, you're in luck, but other than that there's only two br's, two shotguns, two brute shots (that's ok, though, cuz more than two of 'em would get kinda' crazy) and a few smg's, plasma rifles and a brute plasma rifle or two. Not too many grenades either. Oh and there's a sword, which I think this map could actually do without (not a big fan of swords, although I thought it made Citadel more interesting).
I'm fine with the lack or rocket launchers or FRG's, but a couple snipers and at least two more br's would've really helped. If it's a matter of limited item spawns, I'd suggest swapping out a couple of the jackal shields for them.
[edit] Just did a bit of spelunking and noticed that the cave has all kinds of interesting nooks and crannies as well as some ledges. Up on one of those ledges would be a good place to hide the sword or something. Like, the cave could've been a much more interesting place if there were more than just a brute shot to the immediate left of the door and no real reason to explore it further.
.....btw, the fact that I have so much criticism for this map is because I like it so much. Otherwise I wouldn't care enough to say anything.

Hm... maybe. I think there's enough cover to keep a sniper from just r@ping everybody, but I can understand your reasoning. 4 jackal shields seems like kind of overkill for something that's not especially useful in combat. Just my opinion.
I do really like this map though. Played it last night with some friends and we enjoyed it.

that won't be balance...
i've added weapons with the look on the size of the map, and the concept of the map.. 3br &2carbine is well enough, more would kill gameplay.. there aren't any other maps that have so many mediumrange weapons also when looking at the mapsize.
name one map with same size as this, that has got >5 medium range weapons... you won't find any..
i make weapon spawns with my insight of creating balanced gameplay, that i've gotten with playing normal halo 2 maps (however some halo 2 maps got weird spawns IMO)..
jackal shields are only for the looks.
so the point is if you want more weapons or whatever, add them yourselves

Well AI isn't easy, its not like you get 5 nerds, coke-a-cola, and a bunch of computers and 2 days later theres AI. Its more like 50 Nerds, Cocaine, and Supercomputers, then 2 weeks later you get AI.
