Especially in children, it seems as though parents are taking away from the values of holidays. I can sure as hell tell you that kids don't like Christmas because it's the birthday of their religion's founder, it's because they get presents.
That's what I mean.

Is Santa and easter bunny seriously considered a Christian tradition? Isn't it a substitute for people who don't follow the religion to be able to celebrate those days?

Ok, me being pentecostal christian I can explain my religion and im not here to explain anyones eleses, Now my religion teaches that if you dont do EVERYTHING the bible says you point blank will go to hell, They told me numorous times that I can't have sex with my girl before I get married, Now that they know that we have had it they hate us, some religions are just like that, some think that if you dont do things their way your the "devil" but thats just people being ignorant, But dont think im promoting underage sex or underage drinking or anything to drastic, but a beer wont kill you and im sure you wont go to hell for it, I believe that as long as you live your life happy and dont interfere with anyone elses life your striaght, but note how I said interfere lets say killing people makes you happy, well if you kill someone you just interefered with there life which I think then you will go to hell because you just tried to be god and we all know in every religion that is monotheistic God does not like competition, this is a very interesting subject kudos to the creator of the topic.

It's also one of the main causes for volunteers which help clothe the homeless, give food to the starving in third-world countries, and share kindness with victims of rape/abuse.

I guess it just depends on how you look at it.

There's a vast difference between charities and religion.

Really, if you think about it, this is an endless paradox of thinking, beucase why are the third-world countries poor? Half of them because of a war that was causted by religion, so then religion gives them food... And... Well, I think you know where I'm going with this one.

Wow... That's actually a good question.

What did come first...? I want to say religion, but "war" (perhaps on a smaller, non-weapon scale) has been going on since forever, has it not?

thats very easy with out differnt religions there wouldnt have been anything to war about true some religions help others but i see that as them trying to hide thier own tracks.....
the way i see it when i die thats it theres nothing left my mind will be whiped clean and there will be nothing left as my brain will shut down there has never ever been any proof of such a thing as god only in philophers books and so forth most of that came false.
i dont know about you but the only thing i see good from religion is morals those are the only things i like about them but even these days those go out the the windows at times il go to hell you say?.......im already in hell its called the real world.

Do you really believe that if there is no religion there would be no wars? If so you vastly underestimate man's stupidity and evilness.

You can't say anything would be different without religion, because you don't know that.

Religion is a factor in wars, NEVER is it the sole purpose. To think that it is is nothing short of stupidity.

I'm done talking to you. Your half-baked thoughts make me furious to the point that I can't express my feelings without being banned.
