Frank Lloyd Wright's "Kaufmann House" In Source

Post by Cuda »

I don't know if many of you have seen this, but this is an amazing remake of Frank Lloyd Wright's Architecual Wonder of a house that this guy completely remade(and playable) in the Source Engine for Half Life 2.

Awesome. I got a DoD map of someone's house, and a highly stylised version of Longest too amongst others :O

The Source Engine fits this very well. However, Unreal 3 will smash it when their kit becomes available..

Still nice to see cheap (less than $50) engines and tools can be used to construct a whole building plan with proper lighting and all that good stuff... and being able to walk around in real-time is a plus.

Yes. I mean I knew the Source engine could handle a lot, but that's amazing...

You should also see some of the DoD custom maps out, strand_b4 comes to mind... I was stunned at the amount of interactivity and complexity it could support just on a multiplayer map...
