Rants of Me.
Haha, thanks man.Mo Honna wrote:I couldnt of said it better myself. Im still suprised that alot of you guys are against smoking and stuff. I guess Im just not used to being around smart people.![]()
But I do give him credit for quitting. Shows he does have some intellect.
Still got some braincells left

Well, at times it was fun to do, you know. Just with good friends, chilling around..

Well, I never want to start. Being around ALOT of bottom of the barrel people, literally shoving cigarettes into my face made me despise the things, along with weed, alcohol, and anything people take to "escape reality" Sure, reality is a pain, but using drugs to escape it is only going to make your life suck even more. Yah.. I used to hang out with alot of low class people. VERY bad mistake. But still, good job on quitting.
Fortunatley for me, the people trying to shove them in my face, never got me to take a single puff. HA!

You just earned alot of respect, infact everyone in this topic that has said they dont smoke, drink, etc.. Has earned alot of respect from me. I know that may not be much, seeing as how Im still pretty new at mapping and stuff and dont really have a good reputation, or for that matter one at all lol, but atleast you guys know now that someone out there respects you for being smart and not doing drugs. Personally, I never have and never will.rossmum wrote:I will never smoke. Ever. I value my lungs/mouth/brain/heart/appearance (not like it's good, but it could be worse)/friends/family/money.
Same here. When idiots come into school high, all I do is glare at them. Funny thing is, the school is to stupid to point out the obvious signs of being high, so they let it slide.
EDIT: God, Im making it sound like I live in a ghetto XD
Fortunatley I dont, but alot of kids who do live in ghetto's or other bad parts of society, goto my school. The school, somehow, is like a four start school, yet they cant do anything to stop kids from bringing in drugs to class. Only thing they do is a lock down from time to time to check lockers, they bring in the dogs and everything XD. All the druggies have to do is not bring in their stupid drugs on that day, which for some stupid reason they announce a day ahead of time, and thats all, the druggies dont bring in there stuff on that day and dont get caught. I think schools need to step it up a bit when it comes to this type of thing. ALOT of us dont want to be around drugs, and even more so to the idiots who use them.

Yes, but the fact stands; DARE has gotten more people to start smoking. Americans are rebels, so if somebody tells them to do something they will do the exact opposite.Cuda wrote:Wow. This thread kinda got off base didn't it? It was about the guy quitting modding, then making some small quip about playing high, and now it basically turned into a two-page D.A.R.E. Program.
I, for one, am glad I'm in a school where not only are the numbers smaller for potheads but they aren't very apparent. If I had gone to a public school in my town I would go crazy. People over there trade vodka and weed in the middle of class. When I was going there for Spanish lessons (I was in elementary school at the time) I had to go to the bathroom. The first thing I noticed was the extreme stench of nicotine. I smelled something else which I think was weed. But to this day I cannot walk in there because I'm afraid of all of the second/third hand smoke in there

Some things are drilled into us from the day we can read and write. Like our multiplication tables. I would assume that everybody here knows that 7 X 7 = 49?Tural wrote:Then wouldn't we all be brain dead stoners?metkillerjoe wrote:Americans are rebels, so if somebody tells them to do something they will do the exact opposite.
Peers don't tell us, "Don't use your multiplication tables," simply because they don't give a damn whether you like math class or not (and if they do they won't specifically tell you not to practice will they?). Drugs are "cool" they let teens "escape" from life and feel good about themselves. The notion of the American rebel just helps this fact along. In other words:
Peer pressure + Rebelliousness(not always) = stupid decisions (sometimes)
