Ok, I know Im a noob with all this mumbo jumbo (but I know how to swap and skin :P) but how do I play AI on old maps? I beat the game in Legendary and still I only have old maps available in system link and split screen.

I added the respawn script to four different squads, I would like to add it like you say, to each individual character, but then I would have to redo all of my squads. But, my next mod wil have individual respawn for each and every bipd independantly. :shock: :D

This is awesome! So you don't know if it's SLC at all or is it just not?

Well now that he added the script if I remember right that scripts break SLC, but I could be wrong.

Not all of my bipds were referenced thru the hlmt, so there-fore no SLC, sry :(

I might be understanding you wrong but do you mean that when one squad dies then it will respawn or do you have it set on a timer? also with that new program script tools(great app) you can respawn each char in a squad so u don't have to respawn the whole squad, and many other ways of respawning specific squads/char, but any way I was just curious.
Oh and BTW at first I didn't see the big deal but now that I notice all the stuff you modded(not just ai and jmad) this is a really good mod and u desirved to win that contest. Nice mod and congratulations

I put the respawn on the entire squad, well each of the four main infantry squads. After a squad is dead, that squad respawns, they kinda come in waves. I didn't know there was a way to respawn specific chars :shock: I'm still pretty new to SOL's scripting app, so I just did it the only way I knew how. Spawning specific chars sounds like a better way, a script example, mb?

um it is hard to explain how because it isn't the script it seems like a feature of that new app script tools.
Oh and I just tested it and it will spawn the char of the squad you pick.
I could type out how to do it but I'm not sure if u would rather chat on AIM or something like that. It is up to you

He's right. You can point to an actor with squadname/actorname. It would involve a MUCH bigger script, but a cooler effect.

EDIT: I just looked at the script he was talking about. Basically it just repeatedly respawns whatever members of the squad have died. If you spawn a squad that's already been spawned, it will only spawn the actors that are no longer alive.

O and BTW that script was one of the scripts from my failed attempt of a good turf. if any one wants it I'll put it up but it is kinda a beta and I'll put it at version 0.5

I was looking at the respawn script you used for your zombie mod... But yeah, that's what I was saying. Also... the actors are supposed to have names which go after the /. If you tried to do that with just text it wouldn't work. The constructor assigns each drop down the proper value beforehand.

um not unless some one would like to make us the fixed xbe.
because trainers edit the xbe file or exe(trainers work with many other games too incuding pc games) and the halo 2 xbe file does not allow ai in mp so the yelo edits that to disable that part and allow ai in mp.
but if some one was to edit the xbe them selfs by hex editing or how ever and disabling that "no ai in mp" section then yes we could have ai in mp with no yelo but you would have to have that edit xbe file.
which I believe would be illeagal so no one could host it anyways unless some one made a torrent....... so see how much work it would be and risks that person would be taking... so just use yelo.

It's a stringid that the plugin doesn't have. The first value in the actors chunk is a stringid.
