Adding a weapon to a map

Post by STAEDTLER »

Project: Add Brute Plasma Rifle to Coagulation

Progress: I have buit the Brute Plasma Rifle into Coagulation and works perfect when I swap it for a different weapon.

Problem: I would like to add it to the map rather than replacing any current weapons on the map.

Conclusion: I tried using the following tutorial, however, with the missing pictures, it's kind of impossible. I got to step 9 but can't get any further and I have tried combing these forums for a suitable answer, but have not found any. The Tutorial

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

PS. Still can't stop those damn plasma grenades from bouncing.
PSS. Can you rename vehicles?

It is.

You have to clone an itmc, Make its ident the Brute plasma rifle, then clone some netgame chunks in the scnr and adjust the clones' idents to the itmc you made.
My real name is a Mammoth, if someone who cares sees this, please change my name to a Mammoth

Actutally all the weapons are in the map. It's just that the itmc is the tag that spawns the weapons on the map, there isn't an itmc that spawns the brute plasma rifle by default on coag. So just follow what a mammoth said and it should work.

WICKED! Got it working using the chunks...seems I had like the orig. version of Entity. LOL. 1 other thing if you guys don't mind. Is there an easy way to get coordinates for where you want things to spawn?

Wondering if I should enter anything for the "Respawn Time, Respawn 2, Max on Map"? I've cycled through everything else but nothing makes sense to me...lol...theres a listing for 4 battle rifles and all 4 have diff. values. Wondering if perhaps someone might explain this as well?

I'm gonna scower the boards now so if I find it on my own I'll re-edit this post and mention it. Thnx again and again and again...lol

Respawn Time = time it takes a gun to respawn after you pick it up
Respawn Time 2 = I believe its the time it takes things like vehi to respawn after it's moved from it's spawn point
Max on Map = basically how many of that item can be on the map at once.
