can someone plz teach me how to use AIM. I just downloaded it a few minutes ago but can't figure out how to us it

add people, pres alt + s from the buddy list. type in the name... then you can chat. thats basically all that there is. away messages are good to use. and file transfer/ direct connect can be your best friend.

I actually prefer it over AIM, it has alias support, tabbing, and I generally like the GUI more. So yea. Kinda off topic: Isn't it kinda pointless to make a topic asking how to use AIM, you can figure those things out yourself. Think before you speak, or in this case type.

I like Xfire, AIM, MSN, and trillian don't have the abilities to track what servers your friends are in. You can also talk while playing a game. (Well I dont know if trillian does that or not cause I've never bothered using it)

This is what you do when wanting to communicate ingame.

1.) Go Get Ventrillo, Trillian, and CAL hats.

Trillian is good because it condenses all the major IMing services, and trims out the unnecessary stuff. Xfire Lags the hell out of everything you're doing when in game, especially in League play, so its not recommended. Vent gives you very good audio quality so stuff doesnt get fuzzed out by a crappy mic like in Teamspeak.Not to mention, the binds

Xfire and AIM are RAM hogs. whenever i start up oblivion, i turn of both. really, what's good for games is games with voice chat support>vent/TS>Xfire>AIM (this is in-game). but everyone has AIM so that works for me, and i use xfire every now and then. haven't started up TS in forever, guys at the old server must be lonely... >_>

well it would seem i just fucked up.i clicked EXIT on the tool bar to get to AIM and now i don't know how to get back to it.on the desktop all i have is AOL mail(which came w/it i didn't even want it,still don't)PLZ help as i love AIM
