Need help playing mods with AU

So I got all my softmods and modded maps now and applied the ppfs to the maps via serenity. Then I added them to the mainmenu.map file via serenity. They play fine with the AU turned off, but when I have it turned on, they still load fine, but when the countdown finishes, my game just goes either back to the main menu after turning black for a second or back to the same screen.

is there anyway to play modded maps with the AU turned on?

Nope you must turn the AU off to play your maps that you have added to the main menu. What you should do though is add the new maps to your main menu so you don't have to use the AU.

But I can still just overwrite the original map with my modded map if they are named the same in the hex and the filename right? Then I could still play modded maps with the AU on. Actually I might have already done that before...

I'm not sure about that but you can use the AU the halo 2 map disc gives you, that gives you update 1.1 Live gives you 1.2.

Actually I just found out this is possible someway, since memisis does it automatically. So is there a program that can add maps to the map list just like Memisis does? or maybe i can do it manually somehow?

The Memesis team won't release that information due to the use of it being used for cheating purposes, and no one else knows how to do it.
