A little explanation to things in order to satisfy your demands...Which you're all allowed to have as its taken awhile...Firstly, the mysterious alien abduction of HornyHornyhippo (must be in heat) made getting other opinions on the skins harder...I've been doin a shitload of work for my final exams...And finally my internet has been buggered latley...Like 5b/s slow...Onto some judgement eh?

Well...After Chad and I have discussed this numerous times it is very hard to make a conclusion on who is the direct winner...Taking into account so many things too...So I will discuss each top 3 skin individually...

Greennc: Your mountains in the Mist was a very well put together skin...The theme created suited nicely for ascension and changed it to a much better one from the norm... The use of trees and new bumpmaps really put the level a step up and the fog as well as your famous well put together skies were a visual treat. However the lack of internal skinning like the other two final contestants had, the tiled texture on the main base aswell as a not entirely smooth flow to the skin put it down...However don't get me wrong it is a great skin...I love it

SingingBlaze: Your Aztlan was a very kool skin..It changed the theme of Ascension whilst putting in some great things which appealed visually...I really loved the design of the rocket launcher... Now, whilst Chad and I both agreed that the bitmaps you used were very good, we also agreed that the skin didn't have an overall purpose...As in it seemed like some textures slapped here and there...A very good skin nonetheless but in terms of theme put up like in coldwind or mountains in the mist I couldnt quite find yours fully (Open ended perhaps

)

Faisal: Your coldwind was quite a good skin...The snow theme was briliantlly created and the use of skins which seemingly fit together with the skin was excellent. The brightness of the skin however made my eyes bleed (to put it bluntly) and I found it hard to find whats what as everything, whilst snowy all shared the same dirty theme making it seem visually similar. Another thing was that the wooden texture you used...I don't quite see the logic in its use, it is too clean unlike the rest of the map and sticks out like a guy in tropical clothes at a nude beach. However...I will personally change it myself, as I declare you Faisal the winner of the competition! Congradulations! Your overall theme was great aswell as the overall excecutuion was great to experience and hopefully I wil enjoy (whilst you cry at how I ruin) modding the map

So yes there it is folks! Faisal is hereby the winning of the skinning competition! Don't be discrouaged all people who did not come first (as only one person can), you understand how hard it was for us to decide who was better than who with such an expansive range of themes...

So guys! Good luck with the next competition and I hope you all enter!

Did you know? You don't know how close you were to being wrong. The contest was a lot closer than you could have imagined. Don't let the results at all downplay the quality of Green's skin.

Congratulations on your victory headshot, I am actually quite pleased at how far I got, personally I never expected that. I really just took this competition as a chance to hone my skills and I did just that. Once again congratulations and thanks for the contest scotty.

Ugh, im so so sorry guys that i wasnt here to judge or even got a chance to play any of the maps at all! It has been a really rough couple of weeks for me. I got arrested for buying illegal substances

, and since i got it fronted to me i had to find a way to pay off the 750 dollars that the police took. So with rehab, my new job, and avoiding this gang.... halomods was the last thing on my mind!

My congrats goes out to Faisal! It looks absolutly stunning. Thanks to everyone who participated, but most thanks to the 2 judges who had the hardest job of them all.
