[mod] ragdoll in headlong, now with a vid

Awesome, but for a really good use for this you can make it so being hit by a vehicle could make you go ragdoll.

I finally got a chance to check this out today, wanted to play with it sooner, I just been real busy. But, OMFG, turk you are amazing, this is one awsome find. Freekin hillarious.

I made this as an example for those who still do not understand what this is about.

hey, turk would you mind if i transfered the JTP! tag so i can use it on other maps? and if you dont can you tell me what JPT! tags they are (i think they are magnum_trigger, plasma_grenade_explosion, sentinal_aggressor_beam)

i think this is the "glitch" u were talkin about
... i used it to get on top of the buildings and stuff
you jump.
hold down crouch in mid air
then near your peek shoot the pistol or w/e (go into ragdoll mode)
then while in ragdoll mode release crouch
it will send you flying up into the air
oh and i was wonderin if i could use this in a mod im makin now
... that is once i can figure out how to do it

yup thats the glitch, its also fun to do it the other way around and slam yourself into the ground. also if you wanted to use this in another map you would have to transfer the bipd and jpt tag and it would be a lot easier for me to just make a patch for other levels and post it up here.

but i have other crap ive been doin on my map

nice mod i will be using it for my map
and an idea for making a longer amount of ragdoll time
you could use the needler
and delay the explsion alittle and have the ragdoll eff. on impact and explosion... also you could do some chain spawning and repeat the effect afew times
not sure if that would work because i dont really know the inner workings of the ragdoll stuff

i have a theory that im going to test over the weekend, if im wrong oh well. its just a matter of time till i find the length of the ragdoll. also i think my patches would work over top of your mod since my main menu patch worked that way.

Here's the vid, not my greatest work, kinda short, but I think it gets the idea across. Just some random ragdolling, I spawned a few bipeds on the map for testing and played with Detox's tdtl editor a little, so the bipeds and modified beam effects are not included in the original patch. So here it is, short, sweet, and to the point.

looks good so far considering im only half a minure through it, gets the point across. damn dial up

edit: i like how you showed being able to slide across the floor in the vid. its one of the funny parts of the ragdoll.
