Yes, your right, we werent engaged in those other events, but when the Holocaust is discussed in school it is taught as a human tragedy. More human atrocities have gone in history that should be discussed too but are never even mentioned. Heres just a few examples. We were engaged in Somalia and nobody knows how many Somalians died from starvation and disease before during and after the crisis. We were involved in the Balkans crisis and barely anybody knows how many civilians were slaughtered in that situation. (alot of execution style murders) The Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq and Iran War, we were just as engaged in these disputes but barely anyone knows how many civilians lives were lost, despite the cause of death or how many.
