Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

photoshop help

Post by camerson »

well i just started mapping and i have been trying to use the video tutorials
by kirk. The problem is that he uses a different photoshop, i can translate most of it to the program im using photoshop cs2, except for one thing. That thing is just before he does the grass he goes down to the bottem right corner of his screen and clicks on something that alows him to draw these like checkers around the whole thing. If someone could tell me what he does, or what i can do for photoshop cs2 that would be much appriciated.

also if u need me to alaberate on this just comment this

thanks

He is using the alpha channel which is easily done by going to that same region in CS2, going to channels, adding one which will automatically be alpha channels.

PS

I think he was using pascal not photoshop.
