You will never stop everyone from cheating a game, to do that you have to ban them before you even know they're going to cheat. (Which is impossible, by the way.) If Bungie had done nothing 99.9% of the people you would meet are cheaters, and don't say, "there alredy iz 99.99999% ch3atz LOL". Would you rather have them banned in 8 hours or not banned at all? They didn't know people were going to be able to do what they did, and they should have planned on it. They are thinking ahead for Halo 3.... hopefully.

That'll be pretty cool...wonder if they'll add an update to the game so you can see who's on PC or Xbox. Or how they'll do friend stuff...considering your PC name can be ever changing (well that's how it was in Halo 1 anyways ).
Got a link to that news? I don't remember hearing that.

people with vista will be able to play H2PC (and other games) against people on xbox live
Ermm no. For other upcoming PC Games coming out on both Vista and 360 will be able to play each other but the FAQ on an old Bungie Weekly Update confirmed that this won't be the case for Halo 2. (Notice Halo 2 wasn't made to play with people on PC also, and is not a 360 title.)
...but as for the link GTAF, i read it in maximum pc magazine...mb you can search the website? i dm not sure if its online. and vista is supposed to be "bringing gamers together" and i think you will be able to have a gamer tag, friends list....baisically something liek xbox live on PC
but it was clear in the article that PC users will be able to play games against live users. and maybe they can indicate the console by showing a mouse and keyboard for PC, and an analog controller for live users (next to teh names).
Beg to differ. Also, Bungie clearly stated halo 2 for the xbox will only be able to with xbox halo 2 players. Same goes with h2v vs. h2v. They said there is no cross platforming... if that's what that's called.
