halo 2 maps

To a lot of you this may seem like a dumb question, but i hope that someone can help me. I have an xcuter x3 CE modchip installed and it works great, but is their any way that i could get the new maps of Halo 2 to mod them, because for some reason when i installed the chip it lost all of them that i had downloaded on the xbox, and since i changed my HDD xbox live wont let me log online because they can tell that i have modified my HDD, is it possible to download them on the internet, and the FTP them to my xbox, and if they would come with all the new patches and everything nessacary. My freind said that he could maybe send them to me via FTP, with all the patches and maps, but he's not sure if it will F*&k up my xbox, and the store that i went too didnt have the maptacular cd, or whatever it is. If you could help me out and find a way to get the new maps onto my xbox that would be great.
