yeah, I know what you mean - like I said, the second pic is not as good.
And no, they arent renders. These were just black and white photographs that i'd taken with a camera, and then coloured in myself.

For those of you who want to try it yourself, you simply open the picture in photoshop, and then create a new layer above the picture (set to multiply) and just paint over MC in green and continue to add otner bits like mud etc.

Like I said, I'm goiong to write a step by step tutorial for how to paint, colour and composite, to get a picture similar to mine (I'm sure yours will be much better with a decent camera and more time to do it! lol) But anyway, thanks for the comments.
