I don't know much about AI, but I just wanted to put this out there. In case everyone didn't know, Turf already has an elite char tag in the scnr (along with other unused things such as the scarab, the stationary human turret from outskirts, etc.), maybe that would be a good place to work on AI?
Halo 3 ruined everything..

I don't really know how to do it, and i don't have the time.
But i have some ideas.

So if an elite on MP doesn't shoot you or look at you this means maybe that he don't recognize the player.

I think in SP there are "points" used by the AI to place an elite behind) a wall(not to spawn) or on a corner when he is attacked so this mean maybe there are not those "points" whaatever they can be on the sbsp so maybe on a SP map the elites are like surrounded by walls and it's for that they don't look at the player.

The little floods run because they doesn't have a real AI they just run to you and explode when they touch you so maybe it's AI but if it is AI this biped recognize the player look to the player...
And they run to you even if there is a wall.

It's just some ideas but maybe here is the "why" they other bipeds doesn't move.

Maybe the SP sbsp has on the mesh markers for some face's for the AI know where are the walls but not on MP?

Uh... the AI won't sync, which is why you can't play with AI over systemlink...

Mainly because the game wasnt designed to do this. Other games can do it because the whole game engine has been designed to do this and different types of information is sent by/through the host. I just thought I'd add this to the project (incase anyone did'nt know)

Look, Just forget about system link AI when I first found out it wasnt possible I felt like shit too, but theres nothing we can do, Im tired of this topic getting filled qith questions, From now on dont post if you dont have any information or actual files to contribute.

I was wondering, what single player map did all this A.I. stuff come from cus if it is one that is able to have one of the sbsp converted in entity couldn't we as a start not touch the AI squads and just leave them and instead convert one of the bsps from that single player map and see what happens because the ai is interactive with the bsp from what I picked up. Just speculation and I am probably wrong but I'd like someone with knowledge to tell me why this would/wouldn't work. Thanks

Never Thought of that. Its quite a good idea but what is the legibility of my idea actually working, I hope Trulife voices his opinion cause even doing what I said would be a start.

Heres a question. If we can convert all the tags used in sp to create AI over to mp and edit that part of the scenario then will the AI fully function??

As long as you change the bsp index using h2x then you dont need to change the bsp, so no we dont need to convert any bsp's
