I don't understand. I don't mod on live, what makes a mod a 'Live' mod, and what isn't?

How do you make a mod that isn't a 'live' mod?

EDIT: I currently only mod in lan partys, because xbc doesn't work for me. Is there some other program that you can use that is OK to mod on?

A live mod, is like run fast, jump high, automatic aiming, projectile swaps and all that. You can use xlink kai.

Agreed,

I personally prefer Kai, xbc is less laggy but has a much smaller community and is hard to get in a game.

Kai however is a big active community and it I Highly suggest it over XBC.

I prefer kai becuase XBC won't let me join a game, I click on one the window pops up then goes away, its retarded, plus kai can interface with XBMC.

To make it seem not to be a live mod, try to do some simple things like effects, try skinning just try to make it seem like that map was never made by bungie. Don't get stressed at first it can seem hard but give it time and you can figure out things.

yeah try out kai it's easier to use and kai and you can join every game without having to worry about the host not being able to host because he didn't forward his ports.

Anyway, how else might i make it seem as though bungie never made the map?

I tried to edit effects but i don't understand what that does.

Guardian, i looked at a chain spawning tut but i don't really understand it, can you help?

Oh, and i can't really test my maps because i can't FTP until i get back to my mom's house.

chain spawning can be risky especially if you make a plasma gernade spawn itself. You can make cool things with it if you know how to chain and not make it continionus. I can pm you about it or talk about it on messenger
