I'm working on a new map. I have a lot of questions (I'm a noob). I want to make my map mostly out of the terminal crates, so
1) How can I null out the bsp of the base map so that I just have crates?
I already know that I null the bsp's shaders, but how do I null/move the collision of the bsp.
2) How do I make the crates float in place, even when someone steps on them?
3) How can I add invisible walls? (I searched, but I could only find topics on removing them.)
4) How do I fix SL (so that a noob could understand)?
Various Questions about a Possible New Map
Fixing SL is soo easy just use the lastest version of entity, goto tools, fix system link and viola its system link (it takes awhile to do though).
To get crates that don't do moving, take a piece of scenery and swap its hlmt to the crates then use that piece of scenery instead of the crate, or there are other ways if you don't get that.
to null out collision you could remodel the BSP to a point and boom no collision or just make your level high up above your BSP.
For invisible walls take a nice bigg flat object and null out its shaders and place it where you want, but place it before you null out the shaders becuase then you can't see where it is in entity.
