chiggers

well sunday was a sucky day for me. I was out shooting my .22 rifles and when i was shooting prone some how i got 30+ chigger bites. I got 16 on my back. 8 under each armpit. and some on my arms and legs. I was so pissed off. It iches so bad too. Well thats all i have to say

XD kinda funny down where i'm at. it's hard to go in a public restroom without seeing the "n" word 3 times or more.

# Treatment consists of reducing discomfort and preventing infection. Household remedies aimed at killing the chigger are unlikely to help with the itching, since the larva frequently have dropped off before treatment is started.

i had those a couple weeks ago, the itching lasted over a week. i had an anti hystimine but it didnt help out at all. my arms and ankles were covered with the bites.

dang that must suck, my chiggers hurt so effin bad. And i have to put on that hydrocortisone cream almost every 3 hours. It gets so anoying. So i hate chiggers and im sure u all do to.

The only time I'd ever heard of them was when I was in Georgia. I don't think we get them on the West Coast or Midwest

i've never had chiggers but i've had ticks before (NOT fun) and, once while hiking in the UP in michigan - not just normal UP, mind you, but the backwoods of the backwoods - i was liteally attacked and eaten alive by mosquitos. i'll bet that if you were there, you'd have seen a cloud of them around me. and yes, i was wearing off. i should have taken a can of raid to serve as an anti-air weapon now that i think about it...

edit: which reminds me of a funny story; this girl that goes to my school went on a family vacation or whatever not too long ago to a cabin or something, somewhere where there's bugs. so the girl's mom, obviosuly thinking ahead, started to spray some raid on her to serve as insect repellant. luckily they informed here it was insecticide and not insect repellent before she could spray most of her body with it.

I've only heard the term Chigger describe a half chinese, half black person. Regardless, I have added this to my long list of reasons I don't sit, stand or lie down in tall grass. I keep moving. Tall grass is never a place to stop moving.

I thought I had chiggers like a week ago becuase I would randomly break out into hives on a random spot on me, they itched like mad, so yea I feel for you
