I'm sorry guys, There's been a heck of a lot going on in both this forum and the files and many of the users are just getting a lot more crazy, and It's not easy. The say the admins are out of line, then they go off and break a rule in protest. It's just not cool.

This site is for the users and I try to keep my actions based on that. I'm not banning people because I don't like them. I ban them because they break the rules that were set down years ago, and I guess they didn't spend 5 minutes to read them. This is the only time we ban users. You guys seem to have some idea that we just go around banning users that don't break rules. Wes? He broke rules in the past, we warned him, he did it again. I'm sorry we had to do it, but he's banned now because he simply failed to follow the rules. If you follow rules, I see no reason why you should be banned. Of course, if you're always on the edge of the line, not quite breaking a rule, but almost, you should be worried because if the admins (in a group, usually) decide that it's bad enough, we will ban you. We always try to keep it fair though.

I'm sorry if we've caused any hard feelings, and I'm fairly certain we have judging by this thread, but the only thing we can do as a community is to... just keep swimming... just keep swimming.

but in kirks post, he said the rules had already been made, years ago. how can you ban somebody for breaking a rule that hasnt been made yet? thats like a police officer arresting you for something that hasnt been made a law yet.

Veegie broke many of the rules many times, but not enough to get him in trouble on one individual instance... It's doing it over and over again that makes it bad. This is called being a jerk.

I think Halomods is going bad simply because we are losing a lot of our members. Because a lot of them left the site......not because the were banned.

ive been around since jun 05 on the files forum. im not complaining, (dunno if you're talking about me though) i just didnt understand why Veegie was banned. i mean hes pissed me off many times, but even though his manner of giving input may not be the kindest he does give good input.

Yeah, I agree, but I also understand that people follow halomods without having a registration. I followed halomods for about a year before joining.

I know. But still.

Also, my experience with HaloMods has been above satisfactory. People leave because they choose to leave or because they are banned for breaking the rules. The rules have not significantly changed. The rules are sensible and easy to follow (they are not even restrictive). You can't complain to the moderators because people break the rules or leave on there own.
