Laser Sight

Post by jordanimal »

I am adding a laser sight to a gun. I have the proj and triggers set up, but how would I tell my laser proj to use a diff. clip ? I have added 2 proj., clips, and triggers

Also, how do I change the setinals beam color ? and make it smaller maybe ?

Thanks!

1) open chunk adder and add a new trigger to carbine (because it has 2 projectiles)
2)open your favorite modding program for xml plugins (ch2r, adi, dot halo....)
3)go to [weap] carbine, under flag select dissable grenades,
under firing type 1 select L as button to use and both projectile to use to "first",
make fiering type to fully automatic
4)
under projectile (0):
bullet per shot 1
min/max rate 30
shots per burst 1
muzzle climb 0

under projectil (1):
bullet per shot 1
min/max rate 15
shots per burst 3
muzzle climb 3

5)under clip make it look like how the battle rifle clip is

6)in dependency change the first [proj] carbine_slug to [proj] beam_rifle_beam
and the second [proj] carbine_slug to [proj] battle_rifle

7)then change the hmlt to battlerifle

8)goto [proj] beam_rifle_beam
and null out all dependency`s exept the contrails, make them to nedler contrail

9)then open the map in h2x and gow to [weap] carbine open meta editor and gow to projectile, change trigger delay in
projectile 0 to 0 and in projectile 1 change it to 0.26

That is the tutorial I used. It doesn't explain what I asked, nor did it explain how to use chunk adder. What I need to know is how to change what clip a projectile uses. I got 2 projectiles, each with its own trigger, and 2 clips, but they both use the same clip. I want each projectile using a different clip. Otherwise, the laser will use my normal ammo, and I run out immediately.

Oops nope. Still! Read carefully. 2 clips, 2 projectiles, 2 triggers. I want 1 with 1 (trigger 1 proj. 1 and clip 1) and 0 with 0 (trigger 0 proj. 0 and clip 0)
Otherwise, the laser and actual ammunation use the same clip. Ammo will be lost trying to target my enemy.
