how do u modify halo custom edition maps?

is there any way to modify halo custom edition mapsin some sort of program?...any help would be greatly appreciated

You don't.

Sure, you could convert it and change stuff with HMT, then convert it back, but if you do, nobody else can play your map with you unless you give it to them.

No one wants a modded version of one of the original maps in halo ce, expecially when it's modded with a halo PC modding tool, when people can create custom stuff.

The smarter thing to do is extract all the tags with HEK+ then rename the scnario file to your new map, recomplie and then edit in HMT if you feel like it.

i cant even open any of the halo custom edition maps in HMT.....whats the problem?

HMT was made for Halo PC map cache files, not Halo CE.

If you're gonna mod CE, I would suggest deleting that program and never speaking of it again. Nobody likes mods that can be easily done on Halo PC to be done on CE.

if you want to use hmt for ce maps, get the HMVC from halomaps.org i dnt like hmt so i really discourage it
try getting your own ideas and make in 3d space, then put it into the engine like CMT and the Evolution teams are doing
