I fail to see how North Korea blasting one of our states out of the water would be someone else's war.multi-genre wrote:I dunno if this is true or not but my parents said they heard on the radio that they were just test missiles.
And I am NOT in favor of going to war with North Korea. Like I said, we cant always be trusted to fight other peoples wars.
To be honest, I am a pacifist, but going to war with North Korea, especially if they directly attacked us (unlike some other countries we've attacked) would be at least far more justified than the war in Iraq. However I would not suggest using Nuclear firepower. We really don't want to start a nuclear pissing game with one of the few countries other than us that have nuclear weapons.

All the reports I've read say that the missiles failed after launch.
Source: Yahoo
Source: Fox News
As you can see in the Fox News article, they were test missiles, but South Korean officials have said that the missiles malfunctioned, causing them to fall into the Sea of Japan. It is also a possibility that by firing their missile near Hawaii, the North Koreans were simply attempting to show the US that they are capable of reaching our country, not necessarily facilitating a full scale attack.

I'm SOO gonna sig that.Cuda wrote:North Korea is a threat. What do Americans do about threats? Go in under False pretenses and convert them to Democracy with the barrel of an M16 and an M1 Abrams tank.
And now they said they WILL test more missiles in the future. Maybe the next T2 Flight will be sucessful... maybe it'll hit something. But I don't think NK WANTS a war... they believe that their military is the only thing keeping the US out in the first place. I can't wait until 2008.....

Whats in 2008???????Excal wrote:I'm SOO gonna sig that.Cuda wrote:North Korea is a threat. What do Americans do about threats? Go in under False pretenses and convert them to Democracy with the barrel of an M16 and an M1 Abrams tank.

Lets try not to get off topic. Anyways, countries with nukes will not attack countries with nukes. Its almost inevitable because both countries know the circumstances of their weaponry and fear the destruction, etc. A perfectly good example of this is India and Pakistan. Those two countries have been saying they will blow eachother off the map for years and both countries have nukes and nothing has happened.Excal wrote:Presidental elections. Maybe we'll have a smart president.
PS: For everyone who posts sources of what they read/heard, thats good and all I dont have a problem with that. Except, most sources specially the major networks are bullsh1t and try not to believe everything they say. Most of the sources yall have posted have been pretty reliable so far.
TO WES.

RE: Multi

No, Japan has no standing Militiary after the end of WW2 stated in the Japanese Constitution Modeled after ours.(jeez, another sign of the Americans Tryin' to keep down the World!) Japan is no longer allowed to have a standing full fledged miltiary. Instead, they depend on Americans to save them from their Eastern Threats.
