Australia was robbed. (World Cup spoiler??)
Australia was robbed. (World Cup spoiler??)
I know I'm (really) late on this, but I cannot believe the Italy vs Australia game.
First, let me start off by saying that I don't watch many sports at all. I happened to be channel surfing when the Italy vs Australia World Cup match came up. I watched the last half.
Everything was swell except for the last few minutes of the game. An Australian falls inside the box, an Italian player RUNS into the fallen player, then takes a dive. How in the hell was that worthy of a PK? Anyone with half a brain could see that the Italian ran into the Australian. What was the ref thinking? I just feel bad for the Australians that came all that way just to have their team lose on a crappy call.

Welcome to outdoor soccer where 99.99% of the 'fouls' are fakes.x088x wrote:An Australian falls inside the box, an Italian player RUNS into the fallen player, then takes a dive. I do agree with you though, it was quite a crap call.
