Halo or Half Life?

Post by JK-47 »

This is just a discussion on which one is better.

I like halo, don't get me wrong. But I just played the first Half Life and ive almost beat it, and it is awsome, in which, leading me to like Half Life more. It's probably because Ive been playing Halo for so long, and I have all these half life games sitting around collecting dust, and Ive beat all of my games other than those.

So I like Half-Life better, but I still really like halo kai?

As much as I love Halo, and I do love Halo, Half-Life is really one-of-a-kind. Both Half-Life and the sequel really draw you into the storyline, the gameplay is fantastic, and don't get me started on the graphics/physics in Half-Life 2.

Yeah, half life 2's ragdoll physics and stuff really kicked ass. I like the weapons in both half lifes. And it always seems like theres another half life in store when you beat one of them. Not too long after Half Life 2 came out, half life 2 episode one came out.

And I really like how they release different games of the same game. For example, after Half Life, they made 2 other games that are the same, but show different viewpoints of the event. Those games are Blue Shift, in that you are one of the security guards of black mesa, and the other is Opposing Force, in which you are the military.

AND I like how you have to figure things out for yourself, and you don't have an AI bot in your head telling you everything you need to do. And its cool how they set up puzzles for you, like in half life 1 at the end, you have to go through these teleporters and you have to go through the right ones or you might end up back where you started.

Really awsome game.

Half-Life 2 kicks Halo's (both 1 and 2) single player in the nuts. I'm not a huge fan of counterstrike:source (although it is fun) but I have yet to play a multiplayer game (of any genre) that beats a good 16 player game of team king of the hill on headlong.

Halo.

The only thing I like about Half-Life is Garry's Mod.

Dont get me wrong, but Half Life 2 was a lot more fun than Halo 1 and 2. Half Life 2 was better graphically, with a cool ominous story line, but the source engine and the Havoc ragdolls set Half Life 2 out to be one of the best games I've ever played. (Not to mention CSS's use of source and Havoc.)

Only thing I like better in Halo 2 more than Half Life 2 is, that when you look all the way down, theres actual legs. (ACTUAL LEGS!!!11)

But if they made Halo:Source, that would seriously Kick ****.

I thought the halo's were the best games. Then my 360 broke so I picked up half life 2. That is the greatest game I've ever played.(SP wise. I don't really like the multi). The story drew me in and made me feel for the people. I was sad after dog borded the ship and when I had to leave him to go into the citdel.

My Favorite part of the game is the Citadel part. Enable your console on it, put it into godmode, and spawn stuff. I wish you could have the Phys Gun throughout the entire game. and the Zero G sections are cool too. Just Yanking the Consoles, TV's, monitors, and conbine with that gun is just fun as hell. sooo many times, Ive let my buddy Play that part in god mode, or if we co-opped it in Gmod, Soo many moments when you wanted to pic up the monitor, spike it, stand on top of it and scream "OWNED!"

The Half-Life 2 singleplayer was simply the best experience I've ever had in a single player game before. It owns Halo in terms of SP... I'd rather play Halo MP than HL2 MP though (not talking about CSS).
