I skimmed through here and the 3.0 thread and didn't see anything about this, so I either missed it or it's just happening for me. I'm having a bit of a problem... The items rotate, but only the default rotation (can never remember the whole X/Y/Z thing), but when I press control to rotate it in the other two directions, nothing happens. It won't move at all. I'm pretty sure this is a bad thing. Other than that, I've come across absolutely no problems. Incredible work here, Gren!

As all have said Gren gr8 work you just carried the halo modding torch a long way but i have encountered the same problem in both 3.0 and 3.1 on bloodgulch ntsc xbox.
I spent hours adding the panels xorange made to create a huge level base at both ends of the map.
When i came back to it and loaded it up all of the weaopons had dissapeared compleatly and the map refuses to load.
I have seen similar posts on this but none mention for which format they are posting on so for the record xbox.
If what the other posters have said is true that its simply pushing the weapons off then how much data do i need to delet from my map and is there a fix planned. Thanks for your time

VERY NICE YOUR An A++++++ EBAYER lol I mean HALO MODIST!!!! modist oooh neat word. ok now that thats off my back when i do mass duplication say a couple thousand things (*THOUSAND*) and i start the map the scenery that i ahve duplicated is invisible in spots until you look at it right. thats annoying. Just wanted to let you know.

does it trip over rebuilt maps? i tried rebuilding a map with three things separately. the elite corpse with its chest torn open, the crashed pelican, and the covie dropship. each time when i opened sparkedit, the names of the objects in the swap list were screwd over. also when i replaced the banshee with the dropship, it showed up as a banshee. upon viewing the new models, sparkedit crashes. at first i thought it was because my map was screwd anyway and i got exception error with the dead elite, but i experienced the same problems with the crashed pelican and dropship, and i was able to load those maps. what is going on here? also importing tags did not work for me, there were no new tags in the list that it said i could add.

Of course I don't want to know "how you do it", I just meant: GREAT!!!
when you creat a new vehicle via the duplication tutorial you can add it place it and that all works fine, but it doesn't appear in game I would assume this is because now that the new vehicle is it's own tag you need to set the gametype to allow these vehicles, but i don't know how. anyone got a suggestion/idea on how possible i could fix this

....since everything is laying on it's back, Z being up of course....and rotation on the Z axis, or xy plane, is "roll".
The rotations in Halo go Z, Y, X (xy plane, zx plane, zy plane)
which are Roll, Yaw and Pitch...respectively.
SparkEdit rotates correctly, but the rotations are labeled wrong.
If SE's rotations are labeled correctly, then that would assume that the object's rotational axes are completely different than their placement axes....which just doesn't make any sense to me.
i.e. Z, which is up, would be Y, X would be Z and Y would be X
Which doesn't even look nice next to the placement coords.
This is what it looks like in Halo, placement axes next to rotational axes (for objects that rotate on all axes): XYZZYX
Going off of SE's rotation labels it'd be like this: XYZYXZ
On a side note, I've found that once in a while, if you select an object and hit the "Yaw" button it will rotate it on the Y axis, which is Yaw, but it's incorrect.
The program seems to be confused because the rotation should actually be roll, but it's labeled yaw.
If you zero out the rotation and then hit Yaw it will Roll it on the Z axis, which is correct for Halo.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...but I'm not. hehe

Hey all,
New to the room, Old Rogue Spear Modder, but a noob Halo modder.
I'm starting from scratch, but I can learn anything if I'm interested enough. And I am,......
Question:
Will Spark Edit 3.0, 3.1 allow me to re-design the vehicles like the the Scorpion, Banshee, Ghost, Hog, etc. graphics wise? And also the mastercheif character?
I want to create a new game "demo" using the halo engine using there basics with a new game play, rules, weapons etc. etc..
And also Besides Photoshop, what else would I need to create new graphics using the halo engine?
I'm Looking forward to doing something great with these tools. Plus scoring a whole new sound track for it with my new 24 track digital recorder.

exporting & importing
how do u export objects from a map and then import the object into another map.....i tried to export a c turret from infinity and tried to import it into bg but i just dont exactly know how to do that because when i tried importing it got an error and froze my comp( )!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
