[MOD] Lost Station (my 1st)
This is my very first mod and I was looking to get people's opinion on how it is and what I should fix.
NOTE: I am done working on this one and I am just looking for ways to improve my modding.
Please give useful tips on making better and rate 1-10, 10 being highest and 1 lowest
Features:
Sky has been swapped
Weather has been nulled out
All scenery and structures have had shader swaps
Weapons have had shader swaps
New Scenery added
Working Teleporters
Huds swapped
Vehicles shader swap and weapon proj swapped
(No Super Speed or Super Jump ability!)
Weapon Projectile Swaps:
Plasma Pisto-- Charged-- Sniper Bullet
-- Regular-- Beam Rifle Shot
SMG-- Sniper Bullets
Frag Grenade-- Effects changed to electric sparks
Plasma Grenade-- Electric with red glow when armed
Sword-- Bright light and then electric charge
Battle Rifle-- Fuel Rod proj
Sniper Rifle-- Carbine proj
Magnum-- Elite(Honor Guards)
Needler-- Plasma Cannon proj
Rocket Launcher-- Slowed Down with different effect
Shotgun-- Plasma Grenades
and more...
Apply Lost_Station.serenity to Lockout.map

To explain, when you dont set permutations correctly your Elite or Marine spawns with random gear.
Besides the thing being wayyyy of Halo canon, it looks stupid.
In your case, you have elites. They Have Honor guard Sholder pads with a Councilor Helmet. Some times they spawn with the Honor Guard Helmet like they are supposed to. One will have a MUCH larger head than the other, thus providing a very unfair advantage. Councilor Helmets are huge, and unless EVERYONE spawns with it, its going to suck for that person.
Also, sometimes the Elite spawns with a half-jaw of the Spec-Ops Commander. and The Half-Jaw is whats supposed to make him unique.
On a good note: The Shader swap look different then most Ive seen. USually people Always use the needler ammo and Overshield shaders all the time, nice to see a little change.

Not bad for a first, everyone has to start somewhere.
However, Proj swaps are old news and cause unfair gameplay and make a lot of these maps have no replay value due to ineffectiveness in balancing.
Not Bad though, 7/10 for a first. Just read up on some Tutorials, I'm sure they still have those here.
