Will you buy a whole new computer with Vista built in?

I'm getting a laptop soon, and to be honest, I'm not getting Vista just for Halo. When xp came out, I got it just because it was the next step in operating systems. And I think we can ALL agree that xp is way better than 98, am I right?

my computer sucks (its a gateway)
so when vista and halo 2 pc comes out i'll probably get a new computer

Go to search and type in DXDIAG to find out what kind of proccesor you have.

oh, thx. just found out my processor is: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.40 GHz.i hear thats kind of low for a processor. seems like the worst part of my pc now lol. evrything else is pretty good.

I know I won't be buying a computer with vista already on it. Once I get the money, i'll be building my own computer. As for vista, I'll be getting it 100% legally free. One of my teachers next year has an MSDN subscription thingy, and gives away OSes to her students. (no, i wont get copies for anybody here. I'm only allowed 1 copy for each computer i own)

my computer is pretty slow only 512 Megs of RAM and a a AMD Sempron, MMX, 3DNow, ~950MHz Processor which doesnt sound too good but i got a huge HDD a 20 gig and a 220 gig so i wil probally not get a new computer for vista proablly just get vista and mroe RAM and a new processor

Probably, as long as it comes with a kickass graphics card for Halo 2. My GFX card sucks right now. Worse than Gameboy DS or w/e.... Seriosuly.

hmmm.... i have a awsome alienware laptop but i can't seem to find it on their site i will keep looking though

but it has a intel pentium 4 2.8 ghz
512 ram forgot what kind
it has a 75 gig hd, but i have 600gigs of external space

well.... i can't really remember all the specs but i will try to find it so i can post a pic

it runs plenty good enough to run vista... yeah but it was around 3,000$ after i had it custimized

my comp is a 2.76gigs pentium 4, and a GeForce gfx (forgot wat model.) and XP.

Im soon gonna get the new processors coming out by intel, there only bout 1.87gig but are better then the top line pentium 4's. Adn wen overclocked can get up to 5gigs (cooled in liquid nitrogen

) but without nitrogen about 3gigs. so its def worth getting. Better qaulity to, and its more liek a pentium 3.5, cus pentium 3 was done good, but they couldnt harness the power of it so they created Pentium 4's. so the new processor is pentium 3 done rite.

I got the Beta 2 and it Runs very smoothly. I'm definately just going to keep this box for it and just buy the OS.

3.4ghz Pentium 4 Prescott with HT
ATI x800xl 256mb
1.5gb PC3200 ram (upgrading to 4 gigs soon)
20gb and 160gb hd

it seems like modding is only for the rich.I don't have a computer of my own so I'm looking to build one for myself that specificly set up to mod.but I don't have much money.about 200 bucks.I can't even get a shiny gumball for that much.

mine is vista compatible and has 160gb 2.8ghz and 512 mb ram so i dont hav 2 worry

i htink mine will run vista fine but wont be able to play any of the games in good detail

To Find Out If You Will Be Able To Upgrade Your Current Computer To Vista When It Comes Out Or If You Will Have To Buy A Whole New PC Go Here And Download Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor Beta at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/g ... fault.mspx

At the very end after running through the Upgrade Advisor Program it gives you the option to save a log html file of what it said to your computer somewhere.
