That's true, Katarn is good at optimization and using his polies efficiently. But the detail on Caboose's is just staggering.

I don't need to prove myself to pre-teens at halomods. I've got far more profitable companies to work for.

Penguin's models are not accurate and he doesn't pretend that they are. He makes them detailed through adding random extrusions etc. which i admit does look good. Doesn't make it good though. I'm not saying this model is terrible and stroking my ego. I'm suppressing low standards.

And to answer your question, I have never modeled an m4.

Is the M4 too common and lowly for the almighty Katarn?

I agree to an extent about the inaccuracy. The left side of the magazine well needs fixing badly.

The m16 series is about to be phased out completely by the H&K416 an SCAR series.

Stop scrutinizing tiny flaws just because most people will hang on your every word. You are jealous because Caboose can (*gasp*) model too. I can see that we've struck your ego, I can't say that it's our fault though, it's kind of hard to miss.

lol, i don't think he's jealous at all. everyone came first saying "zomg u pwneded katarn, ur better, lulz". c'mon now. mb you should read the thread and the comments before you post about someone's response. why would he be jealous of someone who hasn't surpassed his skill level? THINK.

and yes katarn ain't jealous if he did an m4 he'd blow mine away. i only started using max in august >_>

and no wireframe yet, it needs some cleaning first >_<

Also i have no intentions in even attempting to surpasing katarn...i just enjoy doing this weather it comes out good or not >_>

You can't compare my weapons to penguin's. Sure, I could do something that looks better, though i'm very busy working on things that actually go ingame. This, upwards of 10000 polygons has no chance of going ingame anywhere in excess of a novelty gun.

You guys really don't know what I can and do do. I don't post here often enough or care enough about this community to really continue being here often. The attack of the preteens killed halomods in about july 2005.

and yea this will probably never make it ingame, it is beyond the 10,000 polys. I really don't know for sure, my max is messed up.

and based on what you said, i can conclude that i would not take seriously your critique on models. it's not about who spends how long on it, it's who gets it done accurately. you'll figure that out sooner or later. i suppose i could spend 8 months on a gun, or i could spend 1, get it accurate, and call it done.
