Red plasma grenades.

How do I do this like what do I edit? I can't find the plasma glow texture anywhere.
I am the ultimate of marines. No rank is good enough for my abilities. I even surpass the immortal Master Chief. The Covenant may be laughing now, but they will be the ones being laughed at in the end.

oh, if you want red grenades than you havta edit the texture of it with some program like photoshop or psp

not the texture. the effect. go under efffects in hmt and find the "Grenade/plasma/armed" or something like that. then swap it the effect for fire....i forgot what it's called

That will do nothing but make an Exseption error. I think its a shader.... not sure..

hmm... I would've thought to just edit the textures; make them redder...

mmm... yummy! red plasma grenade!

hey, that'd make a good mod... dup the plamsa grenade, give it a seperate bitmap, make that bitmap red, swap the frag grenade with it... and make it different somehow.

hmmm... that'd be cool if you could make it release several projectiles, but Im pretty sure you can't make it do that...

then instead make it a stun grenade! and have a blinding explosion and make it really loud!

hey, I might get started on that...

lol maybe use a exspotion from the maw. Like the warthog run, Those sound loud!

you wouldn't have to do that, you would just have to extract the sound, convert it to wav, and edit it to be waayyyy louder... then reconvert it to ogg/vorbis, inject it, and be LOUD!

or why not just google cool explosion sounds and find one that sounds cool, and use that instead?

theres a good open source audio editor called audacity that lets you apply a whole bunch of effects including pitch opens natively and exports ogg/vorbis too just google audacity it should be the first one or it might be http://audacity.sourceforge.com not sure

EDIT: had to add "opens natively"

i cant seem to find a plasma grenade effect bitmap...
has anyone gotten flaming plasma nades working??? The actual nade texture would be easy, but I WANT THEM TO FLAME!! :twisted: :twisted:

I think the actual plasma affect is a "particle system"...

I believe that "Flame_Defoliant" is also, lemme check...

well, the actual nade bitmap is weird. I cant seem to get it to import. in HMT is shows only black, but in Photoshop, it shows everything. So I made it red, and saved it with the same settings, but now i cant import it... maybe a flaming frag nade? it would be the same concept, but instead of swapping the plasma glow, u'd swap the smoke. also, I know for a fact that the frag nade bitmap is editable. I think the reason I couldnt edit the plasma nade is because its animated... in game it glows a little...

haha... i dont know how i did it, but now there is no grenade. just the glow :shock: ... but that could be cool... fireballs?...
