help with modding

alright i have just modded my box for the first time for like a year, and it wont let me connect to live so. i like cant show my friends my mods, with the scarab in turf and stuff.
doess any one know why i cant connect to live?
(sorry if i am in the wrong place)

you cant connect to xbox live with a modded xbox, bt the only way is to make a new account with like a free 2mounth cause you will only acually be able to play for 6 hours then your banned. Tell your friends to get xlink or xbc, that way you can.

does it say "Modifed Xbox Error" <- like my xbox

or will it just not connect? "Cannot find xbox live" because if it dosent connect then you have a Chip or Softmod that stops Live sign in.

I don't think it's an Xbox error or anything of the sort. Think about it: He modded his Xbox, he tried to connect to Live with the mods, and he couldn't connect. It would seem logical that he was banned.

iv modded one of my xbox's before. and have been able to play in custome games and so forth. but like i have the same thing i had on the other one but on this one i cant get on live.
:\ and i was wandering if it like wasnt one of my settings etc.

o and my xbox wont let me connect.

my mate who has a ceartian modchip.... i think its the X3 but not sure, he cannot sign in attal, because the bios has "Sign in Protection" his xbox hasnt been banned from live, as its never been able to get on live with the chip installed.

it wont let you connect? then thats Sign in Protection. most new Bios's / Softmods have it.

alright, so what do i do about this "sign in protection" can i turn it off?
and another thing, should i have proxy on or off?

because everything i have is directly connected to my router, i dont have proxy on,... but every internet connection is different,

just hop on over to www.xbox-scene.com and ask a few questions in the forums over there, and they will tell you what needs to be done, as i am unfamiliar with sign in protection, (as i never had it and i have "Modified Xbox Error" to show for it)
they will tell you what you need to know

You would have had to have a Live account on your Xbox before you modded it, for it to work. If you made a XBL account before you modded it and it is on your Xbox just coldboot the game you want and it should work.

the account that was on my xbox is a 2 month since i had moved all of my 12 months over to my 360
so its been on there.
