How exactly do you transfer a tag from one map to another with Entity? I mean do you check recursive, parsed, or sound, or both, or all or just one? I tried transfering a few things with insolence after my bsp conversion, but it stops transfering when it gets to the mode part.

Can i transfer stuff to the map and then do the bsp conversion?

Thats not right... Thats in 03a_oldmombasa.map but when I use the earthcity_3b.info from 03a_oldmombasa.map I fail to load so am I knot reading something right?

Make sure you have parsed and recursive checked and your Building it into the map. I had this problem as well except mine froze. I did for all three maps and none of them worked so I just stopped. Did you do everything in the first of my post?

03b_newmombasa.map is where the metro bridge is..

Duplicate starting equipment, It will work and not affect anything.

I found a bug with Entity


When trying to save the Hlmt longsword tag, i get this

"Error reading Ifp: phys"

Does there happen to be a phys ifp in the plugins folder?

Hmm if it's not there, wouldn't Entity have trouble reading it? That's a HUGE bug, if you know a way around it, do share :)

If you are trying to save a Hlmt tag it works fine for me try redownloading enity and see if that makes the differents..

I got past the problem.....I just took an Insolence phys plugin and put it in the entity plugins folder and renamed it with a "2" on the end so it looked like the other plugins in the folder hence "phys.ifp2"

I also had shades SLC patch applied to the map so i also had to put a goof.ifp tag in the entity plugins folder and add a "2" to the end of that also, otherwise i couldnt clone chunks of the predicted resources and it gave me the same error.

So we all should be ok now :)


Is there a way you can input spawning points of say netgame equipment using entity with coords and all, or do you have to make all the spawn points of items with Insolence, then move the stuff around with Entity's bsp viewer? Do the actual items show up in the viewer so you can drag them and place them, or do just the spawn points only show up? can you drag spawn points around?

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this yet but can you not just add loads of stuff to a multiplayer map to make it bigger, then add a new bsp?

What? It's not the size of the map that prevents us from injecting bigger BSPs, it's the size of the existing BSP. Injecting extra stuff doesn't help at all.

If that's not what you were asking, then please explain a bit more.
