making spwned proj's spawn in diff places
making spwned proj's spawn in diff places
can i like make the proj try to follow a plawer and make it have bad turnin abilities?

i want them to spawn from the sky at the same place but whe
i want them to spawn from the sky at the same place but when they land they hit a diff spot. i dont know it turning ability will accomplish that?

1337 meteors weren't random. At least the placement wasn't (timing may have been). I used to know all the safe places to stand where you'd never get hit. I'm pretty sure raining ascension was just the meteors but replaced with rain drops (needler shots, I believe) and the effect still wasn't random. The thing about turning/homing is the target is locked from the ui end of it. A projectile that wasn't fired from a player's ui, targeting someone, wouldn't aquire a target on it's own.
It may be possible to have a mach set to spawn a proj and make it triggered like a door, so when someone passed near it, it'd fire, but it still wouldn't really be random. The best I can think of to make it actually sort of random would be to have something like a battery (is that what they're called? Those little exploding barrels) spawn in a launcher and allowed to fall down a bit, with the spawn time and the launcher's time set differently (if you even can set them to not always be on). It would never fire exactly the same twice, since it's landing would be physics based. Then you could set it to blow up at the tinest impact, and replace it's hlmt with whatever.

That was theoretical. I've honestly never looked into doing it. And I meant the proj would spawn on it's own, and the machine would launch it. I saw a mod once (underground or something like that) where there were grav lifts that continually fed explody batter core thingies up to a walkway. Since they just sort of got dropped in there and piled up on each other, the effect was kind of random.
