This might sound like a noobish question but when you transfer over a BSP from say a campaign map, how do you overwrite it with the multiplayer map? Like replace the MP bsp with the campaign BSP? And after you overwrite do you only have to place spawn points and you can play?
If it's harder and someone would be oh-so kind as to give me a brief tut, that would be appreciated :)

Its not a gondola thats why :wink: Its a mach from a level cant remember but the mach is called "key"

Edit: Now that I think about it this level is so huge that you say the gondolas move that would be good for this level to use for transportation of some sort

It is from floodzone and it is called key under the mach tag. So looknbarrel do you it is too big to play? Looks like you took my idea and did alot with it last night.

Yeah... i got an error, whenever i try to load a model it always gives me the error... "the application has caused and error" on the continue or quit error box thing, but is there anyway i can get around this=?

Could you give me a serenity patch of the bsp conversion with the "key" ingame? I cant do it for some reason.

I think not because we are currently working on that and it isn't finished at all. Just drag and drop from floodzone to your map. It should work just fine.

Me too. It also gives me this error when tring to look at BSPs. My computer is kinda crappy though. Computer specs: HP Pavilion 6553, 467 MHz Processor, 256 MB of RAM, Newest version of Direct3D X, Windows XP, 12 GB HD w/ 2.8 GB free, and .NET Framework 1.1, and 2.0. No graphics card other than the Motherboard installed one (attached to Motherboard) because it had not slot for a graphics card. Really crappy PC.

Maybe that could help you help me.

The point is, that doesn't work for me. I can drag and drop it into the new map and place it, but Halo 2 freezes.

What do you replace with it? Do you swap the hlmt meta, or the mach meta?

You could make invisible walls in the level (nulled shaders on stuff) to keep us in a smaller area.

Right.Well this program hates me.
I Open and sp map and go to to the [sbsp] tag and click one of the bsp's on page 2 that are supposed to "work".I then check parsed and recursive,I click save and save the map to my folder.Open up waterworks and go down to the [sbsp] tag and click its bsp and hit build(I also tried checking recursive and parsed also)well i then open in entitys bsp viewer and change ALL player spawns to inside the bsp,I resign the map and ftp.The map doesnt fail, Doesnt crash, the countdown just freezes at 0 seconds left.As if it were trying to load but just crashed.

*NOTE*I have tried with 3 diffrent bsp's from 3 diffrent maps(Bsp's lsited from page 2)And i also tried putting the bsp's over triplicate, And waterworks.

Any ideas?

Ehmm....<.<.....uhh....>.>...............

It doesn't work on my computer. An error message pops up saying something about .net framework. How do I fix it?

Get .net framework...

As for the freezing countdown, try injecting into gemini. It seems to be the most reliable for me. I've been able to get the mainmenu, newmombasa bridge and the floodzone BSP to load in it.

for the freezing countdown it may be that the bsp cant be converted to that map.

Could it also be a bad transfer or a bad map because I've transfered the mombasa bridge to all three maps and it froze on each one of them. Should I just get new maps?

Well, it also depends like what map you transfer them to. Like, it froze when I put that bridge in waterworks, but worked great when I did gemini.

I believe i found a way to fix maps like the bridge from freezing if you dont have every piece of scenery spawned in the proper places like how TSF explained. But i need a few people to test a program for me to see if it works properly.

So drop me a pm and ill send you the program and some instructions ;)

One way to get the stuff in would be to null out everything in the new mombasa's scnr except for the scen placement reflexive (and everything in it) then recursive extract, remove the scnr from the .info file and build. Then go in and clone that chunk either with entity's chunk cloner, or the old fashioned way. Clone it until you have the same number that were in sp, then copy and paste that reflexive ;)

I love the old fashion way... But enity does it so fast that I think it's faster.. But if you do that tycko then wont you have things like AI links and ect..

alright im enjoying my entity it really got me going again... sound injection work perfect , BSP viewer works perfect. although the camera speed is little weird, i think for the spawnpoint you should setup other keys for speeding them up... then the camera doesnt get slowed down..

also it might be a good idea to make the CTF & Initial respawns also move-able in the BSP viewer... it's a important thing for keeping the gameplay intact, like ANTIrespawns for CTF games and stuff.. i got this insolence plugin that allows you to move several spawns .. these:

-unsuitable_respawn
-terries_anti_spawn
-ctf_bravo_nospawn
-ctf_alpha_nospawn
KILLTROCITY MAPPACK
