Just a thought, but why doesn't somebody release just the converted map as an "available-to-mod" map, with nothing screwing it for future mods (no improper chunks, no secure serenity) either as a stand-alone, or in addition to whatever their finished mod is?

Didn't know it was supposed to be a secret. I saw a post about it somewhere a good while ago, but no maps were big enough for the pelican to interest me. Anyway, I've heard that someone has found a way to fix the flippy thing and will be releasing it in a future mod, soon, and I'm pretty sure he didn't mean by spawning it on a mach.

I didn't quit. I just finished converted it BY HEX EDITING WITH SHADES TUTORIAL. NOT with Pokecancer's app. That's what pisses me off. I had to go through trial and error to get it working finally so it was even longer than it should've taken with Hex Editing. I stopped and got suggestions from the community a couple days ago and I was starting to implent them into the map. Now today was another day I was going to look at the suggestions see what fits and add it in so we get the best experience possible from what the community wants. Then I found out Entity is out and this comes out where he converted the bsp within a matter of seconds. I'm not necessarily mad at PigFarker, he just used a program and got a BSP and is working on it (As I said in another thread, it doesn't matter if you used a program to do something usually difficult in a very small amount of time, appreciate the mod for what it is and how well it plays.). I applaud him as his may be better than mine. I'm just mad because I used the difficult way since Entity wasn't released, and I waited for some suggestions from the community just to find out it's been done already out of nowhere when I wake up ready to work. (Run-On :? Sorry)
I just hoped Entity wouldn't be released so soon. Oh well, maybe it was for the better.

(Funny how Halo Kit Forums deleted my thread asking for suggestions... maybe they are working on the mod too? xzodia is also working on this bsp >.<)

Well with Entity, and as you know the current BSP conversion methods only allow you to do a very limited amont of BSPs (they have to be smaller than the multiplayer one). Plus, a lot of the BSP's that you can do just plain suck or don't have collision, limiting the selection even more. Basically what I'm trying to say is you can't "call" a certain BSP. You know others are going to want to do it to. Just focus on making your the best. And I understand your frustration with having to do it by hex, but yeah I guess you just picked the wrong time to do it.

I think it would be best to keep this as much like a Bungie released map as possible. Meaning, no boat or anything funky like that.
Halo 3 ruined everything..

I think you should spread out the vehicle spawns a bit more. I dunno, thats just me.

Hey man just wanted to say that it would be so sweet to actually be able to use a pelican in a real game in MP :D... I mean you can make them destructable and take damage just like a banshee so.....try to spawn them so they dont flip wildley though cuz that would result in many suicides in the little starting bases lol. But man yeah i cant wait for this....the layout just is priceless....good luck!...dont give us too much more detail....make us be suprised.

Yeah, for some reason, with just the BSP it was silent, but when I spawned, warthog, it started doign those noises.

Maybe its a issue with just that bsp with the bsp viewer in Entity.

find the lsnd and null out the snd!'s in it...simple...or just null out the lsnd thats being used...

umm i can say with 90% accuracy that unless someone is keeping it a secret team imod is'nt working on this bsp, now i said 90% because i have been working alot lately so i havent been the best active member. as for your thread asking for suggestions, i check out hkc everyday for atleast a few minutes and i never saw your thread, i honestly don't believe any of the moderators on hkc would just delete it because someone else was working on it. they are a utorial based website and we do encourage people to ask for help there. so with that said i would pm or email a moderator there and ask about the thread, it may have just been an honest mistake.

I did have it up as I checked back on it later in the day. Then the next day I found out it was gone :? Check the moderator logs then, I may be mistaken for a different forum.

Hey this is probably the best idea ive come up with but since people are going to be modding the bridge a lot. They all have to start and inect everything. Why dont you make a version with Flag spots, spawns, hills and watever you want then post it and people can mod it how they want from there.

So its like a normal map and people edit from there. Just my idea so yeh.

Make us do the work and make it easier for those lazy people? (Oh wait, thats probably what the Halo 2 Modding application creators are saying>.<) But still, then that would make a million Metro Bridges coming out from left to right.


Also about the actual mod, mine that is, im thinking of cutting the 2 boss platform bases. I might still put them in, but not the platform leading up to it (Entity doesnt rotate right)

Have you tested it for SLC? Apparently, there's an inherent issue with this bsp that breaks slc.

Theycallmechad, you must understand, doing a BSP manually it hard work, he just lost so much time for nothing. Entity is easy. If he did it with Entity it wouldnt matter.
Thats my rant :wink: till later, im cureently on Vacation :wink:

and my BSP transfered with sound...... Backround sound is perfect no retarded techno music :wink: and this BSP is SLC, atleast for me :wink: cause i transfered every BSP possible, unless i forgot one :wink:

I having trouble putting the sbf into the map so if anyone could put a sppf on here i would really appreate it


and also if you could tell me in great detail on what maps and how i would make my own. I great a skinning things and changing charaters so i just want the map no mods
