This is an awsome app! Well done! As for conversions, maybe a group of guys can work on like all the bsp conversions and release them all together, so its like a map pack. This way there are more maps to mod besides the ones off the disc and the maptacular disc. Just a thought....

Ok, I've got a really stupid question here and it may or may not belong in this thread. Ready?
Would it be possible to bring a Halo 1 bsp into Halo 2? Like, are they fundamentally different enough that it'd never work, or (since they use the same engine and all) could it maybe be done?
Even if it did work, I suppose it'd be kind of low-poly compared to Halo 2, but with new bitmaps I think it'd look alright.

I dont think that would be possible halo1 and halo2 bsp a really different.

Yeah, I extracted sidewinder's bsp and noticed the file structure was radically different. Still, ADI was able to extract it, and I've heard that some other aps work on both kinds of maps so...

as for know i had freezing issues on both sides of the bridge... so i decided to use the bridge only, as i was driving with my warthog over the bridge it also froze at certain area's.. :cry: not particular area's but seemed quite random.. the BSP is awesome , but i dont think anyone would like freezing maps... i gave up on the bridge :cry:

about system link, i was testing the other day with doorman, and we added a bsp and then cloned chunks and it still syslinked fine but then i added a mach(I added to scnr too) and it messed up syslink... So if you experience the same thing, try adding the stuff first... I'm not really sure why that would mess up system link though.

Metro bridge is going to need alot of cover to avoid being pwned with the sniper.



By the way, is there a way to only take a certain part of the BSP and not the whole thing? Because Regret and Delta Halo are HUGE, as well as Gravemind.

Thats because if u play it on SP there are thangs placed there so ur not "suppose" to touch that area so u need to place something there ex: On "End of the line" there was a big box behind blue base and thay took it out so now when u walk in to it it freezes.......so find out what was there

Not really, if you were to do tag comparisons between halo 1 and halo 2 meta you would notice many similarities. Not only is the meta similar but the engines structure as well. Now I'm not saying that it would be easy to convert between halo 1 and 2 meta because it wouldn't be...even the smallest differences would create a problem especially if there is some type of value in halo 1 not represented in halo 2.

Ok whever i click on sbsp and raw editor, it just crashes all the time

also a question:
how do i edit the spawn point of the items? like biped spawning point?
EDIT: nvm for this question, i found the control keys lol

and a another one is:
when i inject something in the map, ex: scarab, can i actual move them around or view it?

So I'm looking at some spawn points and stuff in the bsp viewer (I love it!) and I notice that the objectives show which game types they show up in, but the other ones, in particular the player spawns and scen (such as the dune ramps) don't. Is there any way to find or edit this information? Is this something that could be included in a future version of the ap or is it still a mystery (like I've noticed most mach-based mods don't get the team spawns right)?
Also, none of the spawns seem to include the dune tower (the mach appears to just be the lights-could be a fun thing to slap into a mod somewhere) or the crashed ship. Is there some other kind of hidden spawns that bungie uses? Would there be a way (either with this ap or something else) to move or extract the tower or ship?
