Files should be linked with User.

Is somebody flaming or causing problems? Is there a post that is too large for content? Moderators will check here often to discover problems quickly.

Files should be linked with User.

The files forum should be linked with the user forum, so that when you are signed on, you are on both forums. This would also help people with post count, Files and User post counts would add and people would become Elites faster, for those who like fancy titles.

Convenience is also an issue, some people want to log in once. Plus, the halomods.com homepage is also a place to get an account, so someone who visits all three entities of the site more than once a day might find themselves logging in 6+ times a day!

But its possible and not to hard (admins pm me) we did this over at teamhlo.com

the user forums and file forums shared user databases so when you register once you register at both sites

that also means that if you get in trouble on one side, (like I know a lot of you are) Lose Halomods completely. Meaning no place to post,"I was banned from the Files" and never be able to take up your case. If I Remember correctly, Meatwad_13 was saved by the two forums being divided.

On the contrary, It'd be nice If I could use one email on both Users and Forums. I never get my PM messeges from this site, because My Hotmail. account is on the Files.

however a request form could be set-up to e-mail a mod/admin for kinda a trial type thing to review why you were banned

Yes, you can click the "sign me in whenever I visit" button if you don't want to have to sign in. And if you have a sibling who visits Halomods with another screen name, that's really your problem. The Files Forum and Users Forum aren't going to be merged for that reason.

Sounds like all you care about is your postcount. So no. Postcount has, and never will have to do with anything on these forums. It's only a representation of how much spam you guys create :P

If that were to happen then there would be a whole crap load of more inactive users because people might sigh up for one forum but not go to the other.
