Microsoft vs. Mac

I like macs more than microsoft computers, they are smooth running, more organized, and just freaking awsome. But the downsides of them are they are expensive, the games are expensive, and the software is expensive. If everything for them werent so freaking expensive id get one in a heartbeat.

I dont have a problem with microsoft computers though, its just macs are cooler and are, well....better in ways. Its a half and half thing for me.

If i got a mac id have to learn an entirley new way of modding halo though :\

Anyways, which do you like better?

Well, when you think about it, if Bill Gates never steered away from the whole apple thing then the macs would be running like pc's.

Personally I prefer pc's. The look of them, the themes, and the ability to have more options (software-wise) just makes them sooo much better than macs in my book.

Yeah, and macs dont have very many games, but they do run great games such as halo (duh) doom, quake, call of duty. So at least i wont make a mistake and buy and uber crappy game.

I like macs look better too, but all in all i think PC's are better because they are so inexpensive.

Macs all the way!

First off, Bill Gates wanted to merge with Mac. They did. Now there is a new software called Boot Camp, which allows the new Intel based Macs to install Windows XP. Possibly Windows Vista, which could lead to Halo 2 on Mac.

Second off, Mac has way less viruses. There are about 50 on Mac, and 50,000 on PC.

Third off, the fact that they run smoother, and have a much better interface also.

Fourth off, did you know the original Halo was to be released on Mac? Why, you ask? Because Macs had more advanced technology. Bungie was going to be a Mac company entirely until Bill Gates bought them. Therefore, I hate Bill Gates and his dumb PCs, which is why I'd prefer Macs anyday.

Fifth and final, there are more Macs in school then PCs. Macs are better for learning and Multimedia.

That is why I'd prefer a Mac more than a PC.

Microsoft doesn't make Computers, they make the Software for Computers. Personally, I like Microsoft better, but don't get me wrong Mac's do a lot! I think without the iPod, Apple would have gone out of business.

I like Windows more.That virus bullshit is such a crap.Virs programmer build viruses for windows because most people use it.Once mac gets the market they'll have the most viruses.Windows runs on AMD and mac doesn't.AMD FTW

Answer me these questions:

"Mac is not going to take the market"
How can that be if they get more and more users every month and microsoft looses more and more?

That virus thingy is very true.You can't avoid viruses unless you disable programming commands but you can't.For example if you disable the delete command which is of course a big part of viruses no windows program can use a delete command.Now imagine that.What would you do?Take the chance and leave the delete command or disable it and disable many programs from deleteing files?The answer is quite obvious.
If you are a virus "maker" you choose the system with the most users.

What Abiter said about the viruses makes sence Patrick, think about it, how many people use computers made to run off of Microsoft? Well, lets just say more than people who use Macs. So who are the virus creators going to target the most?

Sry maybe I'm misunderstanding something but I don't get it.Right now more people have windows so you create viruses/trojan for windows.If in the near future there will be more macs the virus programmers wil target macs.Isn't that logical?

Yesh it is logical, but right now, computers that run off Microsoft are being targeted

Which does suck because my computer does get a lot of viruses

I like macs a lot more but im sticking to microsoft.

If people like Multi-Genre have the same opinion and stay with PCs, viruses will never target Mac. Plus, Mac has been working on making every Mac immune to this crap.

Viruses are made for windows because there are more people who use windows, that's it.

Also, mac computers have less proccessing power. Apple just started to put dual core's in, and amd's are much faster then intel

Finally, how many gamers use mac?
