mod, may need a team?
when (and if) the hek comes out, i would like to start a new mod, a proper one, im a good coder and general map builder but i have big limitations, one being i havent got an artistic mind and cant model or build good maps.
my idea is, before reach was 0wn3d, the spartans did some test missions against the covenant, the spartans were allowed to use (beta) untested guns to combat them, and as a result, new guns are going to be used, you can play as covenant or as spartans, using pelicans, wraiths, and if possible, the covenant dropship. because the armour for the spartans is going to be different than mcs, ill need moddelers, for the weapons and mappers maybe?
im not sure exactly what the editing kit can do but if it is possible, creating a new game mode might work??
so what do you think of my idea and does anybody want to help me?

dilinator i would be honored to be on a mod team with you. I can only work alot on the weekends though. Maybe i should tell you a little about myself.

ok, new ideas flooding in, firstly, this is going to be pre-halo, so older human weapons, prototype human weapons (only available to spartans)
covenant will have same style
fighter planes, for humans, will fly like banshees
if the hek allows, have 2 different teams, not just redvs blue but covenant vs spartans (maybe it can be done now, maybe instead of having red mcs, replace red with the model of an elite, could it be done, does anybody want to try it?)
pre-pelican, i dunno, maybe a different skin??
and if the hek allows the changing of the source code of the code or even making a whole new separate gametype, then have proper missions such as
slaughter the enemy (lol basic)
capture the blueprints, take the blueprints and take them back to base, the covenant defend.
protect the ai, a spartan has the suit with the ai, if he dies then the covenant win, get the spartan to the control room of the ship to win.
blow the ship, get into the covenant ship, assault the control room, set self destruct, then run the hell out to the escape route, the covenant have to defend and stop them from getting away (hell, killing lots of spartans is better than losing a ship!)
anyways, this all depends on the hek, except for the new weapons!

The Spartan's old suit was the same, only without shield.
They copied the Jackall shield technic in the year 2552, just before Reach was glassed.
As for the weapons, There were no Beta weapons for the marines.
and Covenant thing, there was only a ground battle at Sigma Octanus and Reach

hmm... I dont remember anything about beta guns either... if you are talking about the part where John, Linda and someone else board a disabled ship to destroy a memory chip, they didn't use beta guns...
but I thought they got the shield tech a few years before 2552... it was when the Covie attacked the Sigma Octanis system, right? and I believe that was before 2552...
and yes, the armor looked the same... there are only minor differences between the set he has now and the set without shielding besides the shields...
