Incompatability between Sparkedit and HMT

With maps prisoner and wizard, both sparkedit and HMT cannot have the same map open at once for some reason. Please tell me if this is a bug or a real incompatability or just my comp. thanks.

thats the way it is, you can't have a map open with hmt and be playing it in halo

yeah, honestly New...

anyway, with computers (all types, not just PC's), not more than 1 program can be accessing the same file at the same time...

That's not true at all. It depends on how the first program that opened the file opened it. It is possible and very common to open the same file many times for reading. That's not the case with these two applications though. Since both can make changes to the .MAP files, they have to open the files with write access and make sure that other applications that try to open the file with write access get denied.
