Lets keep this on topic. Could someone answer my question...
"how I do I untinstall my modded dash? Or take off the softmod completely? Is it the thing that says, "REmove softmod?" If so then do I press the remove softmod form HD or the other one? Because I can download one that alreaady has DVD2Xbox."

I tried reading through this thread to figure out what's going on. Let's start over. Looks like you were trying to add things to D without knowing that was the dvd drive, but you've figured that out now. And it seems you CAN ftp to your box, but you get some wonky results. Am I right so far? Now you want to know how to uninstall your softmod so you can start from scratch, correct? I don't know about softmods, but maybe you can skip that step. If you're using EvoX, it should be on the C: drive of your xbox, correct? There should be a folder called "apps." Place the dvd2xbox folder inside that one, and evox should autodetect it for you.
As for your transfer problems: is your hdd full or something? With only 10 gigs to start with, and large chunks of it already reserved for the other partitions, you can only really install one or two games on the E partition. If that's not the problem, maybe you should switch ftp programs. Personally, I just use Internet Explorer (I hate cluttering my computer with extra programs I don't need). If you're linked to your box, you can open an IE window and type ftp://192.168.1.100 (or whatever your xbox's IP is) It'll ask you for a username and password (both are xbox, but you prolly know that by now). Then you can just drag and drop from your desktop or from windows explorer into your ie window.

I don't know if you've already got an answer or not, the maturity of this post dropped off the scale a while back, so I'll give you the answer here, now:
You can't move the files back into the D:\ Section, that's where they came from because that's the disc drive, putting them back into the D drive is trying to put the maps back on the disc, which you can't do.
If you were HardModded, you could simply drop all the files in the F:\Games drive, but you're softmodded, and probably don't have a hard drive with enough space on it to hold all of Halo 2. You'd need to drop them in the E:\Games folder (If it doesn't exist, make it) But I highly doubt it will all fit. Your choice comes down to if you want singleplayer, or multiplayer.
