kay so im evox now do i put the .etm in the trainers or the program ??? also when i run prog it opens a black cmd screen and does nothing

just wow.

this isn't called reverse engineering; xbox just used that to be able to make it. this IS modding, because it modifies how the game is run / played.

ok so i got evox i ftp go to trainers put h2cam.etb or w/e in there and keep deswizzle on desktop and lazy prog there too... take pic ftp drag pic off run lazy prog and i get pic in bitmap ?

How do you think we are able to modify the map files?

ok i cant figure it out...i go to trainer folder and i put h2cam.etb and deswizzle in there.. it dont work... can i get a detailed tut.. im so lost

ok DESWIZZLE DOES NOT GO ON YOUR XBOX you put deswizzle in C:\Documents and settings\your documents like mine is C:\Documents and settings\brendan then you just play the trainer take teh pic by click both right and left thumb sticks and then got o E:\TDATA\4D530064 and tehr wil be sreencap.raw FTP that to C:\Documents and Settingd\your couments and then have the .BAT in C:\Documents and Settingd\your couments and run teh .BAT then open the open the .bmp taht it makes and there

guess what it still didnt work... ok so i have h2cam.etb in trainer thing... i rename everything in $u to default2.xbe and stuff so i get rid of the au... i turn on trainer and launch halo off my hdd.... i get in i hold right and left trigger to take screen go to dash to ftp, i look at 64 and theres nothing in there called screendump

Yeah, I didn't want to get involved in the semantics here either, but using terms such as "reverse engineering" to differentiate the different kinds of work that gets posted here is meaningless.

Everything here is reverse engineered because we're working with the artefacts of someone else's product.

Unless there is a community-agreed upon defintion of the word "Mod" i've never been made aware of:

Mod == Modification
Modded == Modified

If I play Halo2 and I can now fly out of the MC's head and take screenshots: the game is modded, hence I think this should be eligible for MOTM.
