Anywayz, sorry for my constantly changing opinion on the night-time matter, but Nitrous DID do something with the bitmaps to make it dark, not fog...I just applied only the modified BG map from his mod, and all that happened was all the scenery came up and all....no fog (fog is contained within the .map file of the level, not bitmaps)....weird. I might try to use HMT to see what he did to the bitmaps in his mod to get an idea of what I have to do....

EDIT: It doesn't really matter about the nighttime situation anymore. I got it a realistic shade of night (what with the giant planet in the sky reflecting light and all) and it really looks great. Nightvision works perfectly now (something that wasn't before). The only thing I can notice is the flashlight and the headlights of the vehicles are not nearly as strong as they should be, but this is because I did some bitmap darkening too to achieve the effect of night and such. But oh well, this'll give me something to work for in v2  . Now all I have to do is finish the area around blue, and darken some remaining textures (and some other miscelaneous stuff). All of this should be done and v1 should be released by Monday night. :)
yes, nitrous did edit the bitmaps a little, but not drastically. if you want to make it look dark, and you dont have 2 days on your hands, just edit the fog...

Yea, but I do have two days, and yes I added fog to HELP make it look dark...for some reason, fog only applies to objects such as scenery and vehicles and such, not to the actual level, so the ground would stay the same bright color. :? So, I did a little fog and a little bitmap darkening and it looks cool. I'm just gonna use those two days to finish the minor stuff, and try to import a few things, and then have my friend test it to make sure nothings wrong with it. :)

Hehehe...Ok, I finished SE-ing the rest of the scenery in, so it is ready for some screens as you request. :) Go back to my site ( http://www.freewebs.com/cloakedsniper ) and 4 new screenies are on the home page. Try not to drool too much.

Glad you like it HunterXI! :D Anywayz, I have decided rather than delaying it's release to implement some minor stuff, I'm just gonna save that stuff for v2.0 . So, v1 should be uploaded tonight to files.halomods.com, and when I do, I'll post the link here. Stay tuned. :)

EDIT: I have uploaded this mod!!! Go here: http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=1398

mmmm... again yummy! I think its better then "forest gulch" ( I honestly think that should be renamed to "nighttime vietnam gulch", because you can actually see everything in this one... and it looks better as a sniper mod :)

Thanx for the support man. I'll be starting on v2.0 sometime next week, i hope. I'm thinking of stuff to add...I'm just waiting for HMT v3.5 (I saw in a thread by MonoxideC that it shouldn't be more than a few weeks) so I can import scenery and have the models work (this is gonna be the main new feature of it, he's working on mapping out the model locations for each map to allow correct exporting/importing). I would love to add stuff like bigger plants, boulders, etc from 343 Guilty Spark. Also, a crashed Pelican would add a nice touch, I think. :D All I can say is, I can't wait for the new HMT. Also waiting for the HEK so I can try some new stuff like maybe an ATV or the "Thrasher", a dual-hand chaingun reminiscent of the hog chaingun(held sorta like a flamethrower).

Other than that, I have some basic additions to make to this version to improve upon it. In the meantime, enjoy v1.0 :)
