Definite download for me. Looks like it's one of the best maps to see CE... Not joking.

just a little update, I've been fixing some errors (coplanar ones) in the geometry and I've discovered that making skies from scratch isn't too difficult, mostly uv'ing the halo itself has proven the most difficult, but I'll get that right eventually. I'll be creating my own bitmaps for the clouds and stars.

this map is flippin sweet. 1 suggestion is to make it rain an have fog, that woould make it even better.

Some screenies. It's back in game, now that I've gotten rid of all of the coplanar errors. I've started popluating it, just to see how it fits. What remains, you ask? Some uv'ing, some textures to make and apply, deciding on which sky to use, and some other little touch ups, like fog color, etc. oh yeah, and don't forget to add the wind this time...

I'm looking to change the name to something a little more catchy and I've had some good suggestions over at gbx, but I'm still looking for some good names out there. So keep posting them.

Expect another update next week.

So it is, although maybe it's meant to be like that.

He said he had UV problems with the Halo ring, haha

Peter, I recommend using GBXmodel converter to rip an old sky out, and just take the Halo ring parts and put them in your box. Pre-uv'ed already.

I haven't decided whether or not I'll go back to the custom sky thing or not. That was one I had made for this map. What I'd like to know is if I can get a fog in the sky or not. So, that it can at least appear contiguous with the fog in the level itself.

This is a cool map! Nice job. And another nice job.

Personally, it reminds me of Accension or YO-YOrast, which are both great maps.

i have a suggestion about the banshees, if you could change the skin off them to the camo sheme they had in halo 2, wen ur the arbiter and you have to protect the covi ship. That imho would make the map have a better feal and kinda blend with the colors more.
