While in office, the President may not hold any other position. In the work force or in the federal government.
So he couldn't be a cop..

And besides, like I said, some Admins do get things done.
I've got the AIM logs to prove it. Yes they are mostly behind the scenes, and yes, some Admins are not active (at all), but they still get things done which JA's and Moderators cannot.

Correct. It's not exactly the admins job to do every day moderating work. That's what the moderators are for. The JA's can do the sigs.

The admins have been promoted for their maturity, and knownledge of problems. They usually have a good opinion on most things, and when we have a problem we don't know the answer to, we can simply ask them, and they will give us the best possible answer.

They're administrators, they do the administrative work, not the moderating, in most cases. Not saying they won't do that from time to time, if someone PM's them or messages them on an instant message service, they'll do it.

Ahh, but you're wrong...It is your job to do everyday moderating work... (I'm not saying that you don't, so don't take it that way.)
Everything in this signature is false.

I meant the full admins, not me. I'm kind of the cross between the two, I still do moderation work, as well as some of the duties of an admin.

ahh yes Dropping everything on the moderators/junior admins...how sweet!

personally thats bullshit seems like Gren or any other admin leaves it all to the moderators or junior admin and then they want credit if something GOOD happens...i have seen SO many forums where the Admins are on moderating 24/7 and it actually helps...all im saying is i BARELY see the "Administrator's" doing any work besides a few here and there...

And lonestar...i agree with insane...bad idea with the reference...but the president should do what he can or anything else for that matter not LEAVE it on someone else...

if the admin's are gunna do this they should recruit Moderator's that they know are gunna do the job...infact SINCE i see so little of them they should have all the power...(the moderator's)...i mean...you say yourself the admin's can do more than the moderator's yet i dont really see any proof of them doing anything...cept in the last couple of day's when i mentioned the Lack of seeing the admins...

And what would HM be if the administrator's Did this or atleast gave the Moderator's more power or maybe more moderator's itself? a cleaner place...not flame free but actually cleaner...yeah im sure halomods used to be the place to be but it seems to be going away from that state you guys once knew....

Tell me this: Has any country or empire ever sustained itself forever? All things change. There is no way to keep things the same in perfect harmony forever. That's a Utopia. There's no way we're going to do it.

As for Grenadiac: He's not some kid who screws around for the fun of it. He's got a real life, and he does this when he has spare time. He pays for this site out of his own pocket. If he had to sit on here acting like a moderator all day, how would he do anything he wanted to do? He's working very hard on Prometheus, so in his own way he's helping the site in more than one way.

I guess I also take one thing back from what I said to Iron_Forge... I don't give him enough credit for what he does in the background. He helps many people out with their programming, and has helped make several Halo modding applications himself.

Dire, The admins should take care of stuff like major modding projects or a new really great app. Why should a admin take care of a topic bump? The moderators Job is to moderate the fourm, so why do you need to acsess the admin panel to do that?

Kirk, you know what grenadic doesnt have to pay anything for his site... [/code]

Sometimes it's best to tear down and rebuild. Kirk is right, all things come to an end but in this case they will only get better.

nice point xbox, things will get better. We're trying hard and brain storming right now to work out a better way to handle things. So please settle down until we have more information to give.

Grenadiac is a busy man...his site has around 32k users, granted most of them don't come here anymore, it's still alot. Now lets imagine that only 0.001% of them contact to him each day. That's about 32 people. Now think about what happens if he is busy one day, or even an entire week and doesn't have enough time to check up on the site or the people contacting him. That would mean that he gets around 224 requests per week. Say he decides to spend an hour or so answering them...the chances of him getting through all 224 is very slim to none. The first priority would be answering staff requests/complaints. After that I doubt he has enough willpower to answer everyone else that continuously bothers him, therefore they get ignored.

Point being, Grenadiac appointed people to do the work for him just as anyone else would do. If you wrote a letter to the president asking him how to do calculus, I don't think he would respond ;)

What if you wrote to the president saying you can get him to save millions of dollers a year?

No, you are the one who is missing the point. The point is that Grenadiac doesn't have the resources (time) to reply back to everyone that contacts him. Once you learn a bit more about supply and demand it might be a little clearer to you :?

Lonestar and Dire: while both of you are making some valid points, you're failing to see the main point and the big picture. I think before you continue you should stop talking and be patient to what we come up with, because I can tell all of you we're hard at work around here trying to make this place better. Our irc channels are being flooded right now with major brain storming from all the staff including Gren, so calm down and hope for the best. Instead of ranting we'd like to here more ideas. Ranting goes nowhere but the bin. And plus you're very new to this forum Lonestar, though we resect everything you're saying; I'm afraid there are a lot of things you just dont understand about the situation.

Big Picture - Halomods
Main Point - Do we need more mods, the arbiter rank, or better mods?
Best way to go about handling - Instead of ranting share you're ideas.

Something to ponder - Halomods is not exactly a democracy. Though we listen to each and ever one of your opinions, we honestly dont have to do anything you guys are asking.

Has to do with above ^ - You guys are getting very offensive, calm yourselves.
