I think you should add a small cryo chamber somewhere (nothing like the PoA's, just a small one for a few crew). Help bring up the coolness a bit.

Well, I'll see what I can add, but I'm more concerned with exporting the freaking thing. If anyone can help, let me know.

I've been informed that isolated vertices (as in ones that aren't part of a triangle) can and will cause 3ds max to die during export. So, I'll be looking for any isolated vertices and removing them, though that could be hard considering the fact that the model is a bunch of non-sealed-world models..
