Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

In 3ds yes in gmax it shoud be ill go check.

Knew it would be and yes.

If you dont know what editable mesh is you go to your 3d mesh right click go to convert to and then editable mesh go down on the right to Edit geomitry and itll be there its a button and it says weld. You have to be on a type like face or veretex for it to be useable

I used the drag vertex, and the mirror tool.

I don't know how to merge objects, so it is a bunch of seperate peices. (If someone could tell me how to merge objs, that would be great)
no, i plane modeled. i don't delete faces and drag vertexes at all. i find the general shape on the ground, and extrude the edges accordingly. i'll do one detail at a time, such as the hollowed area in the wall, rather than wall and hole at the same time. actually, i did the converse, i did the wall, and left a hole, then modeled the hole.

drag vertex :| meh. use extrude, and use it on the edge selection.

if you want to merge objects, select one, then find the "attach" button under your edit list. then use target weld to close the gaps, or, use create poly to seal it.

if i have time, i'll show you how i got certain parts to work out the way they did. keep practicing. covenant architecture can be very tricky, especially for beginning modelers like yourself.

Vertex dragging and face deleting is better for beginers.

not really. vertex dragging will give you messed up faces if you don't know what you're doing. face deleting is ok i suppose, but really only for if you're connecting 2 or more sealed models.

I attached my models, then I welded them together for my wall, but it took the smooth group off and now I can't get it on. How do I get a new smooth group?
