Cuda that is an excellent point. Remember, the times make the president. Bush has had some of the worst 8 years in American history, he could have done a lot better, but he could have done a lot worse. I mean what would have happened if Jimmy Carter was in office. I'm pretty sure that most people would agree when I say that he was one of our worst president's ever.
Also, comparing Bush to Hitler is just stupid. Hitler killed millions of people, and that's not even something to joke about.
Btw, no more stupid ass jokes and shit, let's try to keep this thread to an intelligient discussion.

Its not the president's fault for Katrina. I do believe I have stated that it was, and I'd llike to officially take that back. bush had NOTHING to do with the controversy in New Orleans. Imgettinowned, you are partially correct. It's not neccarily the Mayor's fault, Its the local govt.'s fault. The local govt. gave warnings, but as it headed noth, they thought they dodged it. And they did. The whole deal with New Orleans is, Lake ponchatrain broke the old Levys and poured into New Orleans. The local govt. was in deep trouble. So, they look for the Obvious Scapegoat. Whoelse is the best to blame? His popularity is at an all time low, The public's against him in the war, and this guys stressed as is, why not blame someone else? BUSH. Then this wasn't helped by the Comments Kanye West made during a Katrina aid telethon, saying "the reason they didnt give aid to the poor people(mainly black) is because Bush hates black people." Now, the intercity ghetto guys got their perfect scapegoat. Then the media completely blew New Orleans out of proportion, and the Hot headed mayor, proclaiming New Orleans as a "chocolate City" doesnt help much either. The parts that were hit the Hardest were the coastlines of Mississippi and Alabama. New Orleans, being a major city, was the easiest thing to focus on.
And Multi Genre, George Bush did what he could. funding was tight as is, in the war. Him being at his ranch in Crawford isn't much of a vacation. He used the same funding system with the tsunami relief effort flanked by Clinton and Bush Sr. and raised a ton of money. Maybe not as much as the ARC, but still a substantial ammount.

Regardless of the context, regardless of the actions of previous Presidents. What he did was still a huge deal, he violated the most fundamental rights of US citizens, and there is no excuse for that.Cuda wrote:But thats killing 15 million people. this is only tapping phones. And these were suspected terrorists with alleged connections. durring wartime Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton were under no such circumstance.

Wrong. It is the governments job to warn the people, and provide a safe evacuation route. It is the people's responsiblity to get themselves the fuck out of there. I watched the news after Katrina hit, it had this girl talking to a camera complaining about how they are all going to die, they have no food, etc. The first time I watched this clip, I had no thoughts on this. A couple times over and, damnit lady, get yourself the fuck out of there, it's not the government's job to break down your door, break through your barricade of couches and chairs, forcibly remove you from the building, because you want to catch the next few minutes of American Idol, put you into an armored transport vehicle, move you to a safe location, and then give you free food and shelter for the next 6 months. It's not neccarily the Mayor's fault, Its the local govt.'s fault.
A lot of idiots stayed behind to ride out the storm, and I think they mostly just wanted to steal stuff and do things you normally could not do. Every person who watched the coverage of the storm, knew that when the storm cleared, there would be looting. We all know there was looting, but the amount of *other* dispeccable things reported by the media was made up. Most of the media, saw this as an excuse to be racist on the air waves.
I would like to state these simple facts:
I did not start this thread to be harrassed and insulted by whatever the dog threw up this morning.
I never got a chance to say this:
I do NOT believe the government wiretapping is OK.
Anything else I forgot I will add.
Is it so wrong if I think differently? Do I have to be just another *number*, like you useless Sheep? Everything I ranted about in my original post, is exactly what went down after I posted my rant. I ranted about the social climate and people being outright racist towards other who think differently. Well guess what? That's what happened here. multi genre making just barely agreeing posts, just to fit in, not to be hounded, and not to be penalised for making an insulting post. multi genre makes short replies, and they pretty much agree with the general opinion, but then he adds just that Oh-So-Subliminal Oh-So-insulting comment, designed to piss off one particular person, but not appear like it was meant to be insulting to that person.

A prime example one might say hmm?rofl i know man jesus, i hope that class teaches you the wide range of programming dude.
This entire thread was an example of the group-think asshattery that goes on in daily life. A group of assholes picks on the little guy. That is what I fucking hate, and what my entire post was opposing. You see, I know I'm right, I know what is correct, and I know what you are thinking.
Of course, you could quote the above sentence, a good example of "egotry" isn't it? But you see, there is a fine line between Egotry, and confidence, that most do not recognize. Egotry is an asset of confidence, but it also is the advertisement of this confidence, that is egotism. Confidence is the belief that you are "ok" and have nothing wrong with yourself. This is confidence. I have confidence, it is you who have the ego's and the Bully attitude. I think the mods can agree with me, given the reading of the few above pararaphs.

Egotism is the anesthetic that dulls the pain of stupidity.
There is nothing more dangerous than being completely sure of yourself. Always question the answers and don't assume your right.
You call us sheep but these recycled arguments are desperate cries for attention from some psuedo-intellectual dolt who loves to try to make himself sound smart. It's not working, the real you shows.

No you "knowing that you are correct" is an example of closed mindedness, not confidence. You do not allow yourself to see another person's point of view, instead anyone who disagrees with you is "a bully."
The Hushed Casket hit it right on the head, for some reason, you need to create these posts to prove to yourself that you're an intelligient individual. Not only do you want to prove that you're intelligient, you have a superiority complex and you believe that you're better than us. That's one of the reasons I believe that you said you have Asperger's syndrome. Asperger's syndrome can be linked to some of the most brilliant people on the face of this earth, such as Einstein.
