It's not a new 'program', it's a new Operating System.

I'll be buying it anyway...

You're right. It'll probably go for $1000.

The price also varies with the different form of the os that you get and what else you need to get wiht it. I doubt itll be more than 400 at launch.

guys don't jump to conclusions on the prices... all itll do is make you more mad about this info. Just wait for microsoft or bungie to release some more information about this topic. Who knows the new OS might even cost between 100$-150$ which with the job i have is pocket change :)

Yeah, because Halo 2 will be the ONLY GAME EVER to come out on Vista, won't it?!?! And you won't be able to do ANYTHING ELSE on it AT ALL!!

y would u need a patition instead of just upgrading ur system. Its not like a partition will save you any money. Ur still gonna need a new gfx card and for some ull need new processors.

I was talking about a partition because other games besides Halo 2 won't work with Vista (CS:S HL2 older halo's etc) UNLESS!! unless the companies give support to those games (which i supremely highley doubt) but hey I'm usually wrong

Well im pretty sure that Vista will be able to run those games becasue microsoft will definitely take that into account.
